We are inundated with stories and statistics over women being reluctant to report domestic abuse or sexual assault and we wonder why. Well, the above (and a good chunk of this thread) is your answer.

 

You know what makes my blood boil, and I AM a lady, women such as this who take a law meant to protect women who are truly injured. By filing a report such as this, that is totally frivolous. Truly demeans the heart of this law.

What specifically has the Trump campaign done that was violent or offensive every single day? And please explain who gets to set the rules for what is violent or offensive? BECAUSE this video we are talking about is not violent. Also what offends you specifically?

Here is what bothers me about this whole incident:

 

1. Trump allowed this to become as big a topic of discussion as it has. Come on Donald. If you can't discharge a matter as simple as this and quickly get it out of the headlines, you will be totally overmatched by any crisis of consequence you face as President.

 

2. I watched Trump flat out lie this morning on national TV and say Lewandowski did not touch her. He said that. Today. Several days after the event. After watching the video that he bragged about providing through his facility's on site surveillance. That has to be a red flag to anyone who heard it. This is the man who wants to be President and he lies about a matter as trivial as this? The cover up is often worse than the crime and Trump stepped into that zone with this statement. I have zero confidence or trust in the man.

 

At this point, Gary Johnson is looking like the candidate I will vote for this fall. I will be looking more strongly at a third party candidate than I ever have in my life.

I watched the Trump interview on CBS this morning. He is having a tough week. He claimed in that interview that he couldn't say if his manager lied or not, he could not tell if his manager touched her or not, he said it looked like he "shielded her." It just gets better and better. Why support him? Even the people in this thread admit he touched her, now the big guy goes and saws off the limb behind you.

The Hillary video floating around now is pretty telling. She got nailed in another lie when she told off a citizen who accused her of accepting fossil fuel donations, which she has. She put her finger in the girls face and blasted her. Not a good luck but I doubt any liberals will care.

The only reason this is even a story is because it is Trump and the media's fascination to make sure he is not elected. It is comical this is even a story, but in today's age where everyone is getting their feelings hurt and looking to sue, I wouldn't expect anything else.

Lewandowski will not be prosecuted.

Donald Trump's campaign manager will not be prosecuted for pushing a reporter because of an unreleased video shot prior to the incident showing the reporter in question crossing the line.

Sources connected to prosecutors handling the Corey Lewandowski case tell TMZ, the Trump organization gave the Florida State Attorney's Office a video shot shortly before Lewandowski grabbed Michelle Fields at a Trump rally.

We're told the video shows a Secret Service agent telling Fields she was standing in a secured area where she was not supposed to be. The agent directed her to the area where the media had congregated. We're told the video shows Fields walking to the media area, rummaging through her purse, and as soon as the agent turned his back she went back to the secured area.

We're told there's a second reason the state's attorney will not pursue the case. Trump's people gave prosecutors a sworn affidavit from Barton Brown, the special agent in charge of former Attorney General Eric Holder's security. We're told Brown says he reviewed the video and believes all of the actions -- including those of Lewandowski's -- were consistent with what should happen during such a scenario.

Lewandowski was charged with misdemeanor battery last month, but the case will not be prosecuted.
