Piece of cake, right? We will just see about that!

This is a new contest with some strange rules so listen up if you want to beat theguru. This week the contest is open to all members of BGP. However, once you have won any contest on the site starting today you will no longer be able to enter the beat theguru contest. In other words, I want to make sure I can win this contest each week so I am getting rid of anyone that is battle tested.

 

Here is how the contest will work, I will pick the winner of 3 games. Contestants have to pick one of the 3 games to disagree with me and if you are right, you get a prize from the prize thread. The tiebreakers may be different each week so pay attention. The tiebreaker this week will be the funniest response (mean-spirited responses not allowed) on why you disagree with one of my picks. Of course I will be the judge of what is funny so I can decide who beats theguru.

 

This weeks theme will be "Private School Power" so my picks are as follows:

 

Newport Central Catholic over Belfry... The Breds will ride through Pond Creek on the arm of Jared Harris. Michael Vicars will play Harris' wingman as NCC steals one from the Pirates. Do you think you can beat theguru in this game?

 

Saint Xaiver over Bowling Green... The Tigers return for an encore performance only this time they will leave Coach Kevin Wallace wondering if he is having another Knightmare. Do you think you can beat theguru in this game?

 

Covington Catholic over Boone County... The Colonels will conduct business as usual against my Hometown Heros. Coach R and the Colonels will put on the best display of passing football the Rebels will see all year. Do you think you can beat theguru in this game?

 

I feel so good about my "Private School Power" picks this week I will give away three prizes if anyone can beat theguru.

The upset earned by Belfry tonight over the Breds of NCC brought such a display of emotions to the area, that the Ohio River started to flow backward into the Big Sandy. Commonwealth of Kentucky Department of Rivers employees stated "The jumping up and down by the fans of the Eastern Kentucky football team, caused a rarely seen event that was last witnessed when the Mississippi River flowed backward due to a earthquake. The excitement of the fan jumping up and down because of the upset victory actually brought down the elevation of the area, and thus explainers the Ohio River flowing backward into the Big Sandy". The fans are the reason why we won this game stated the Belfry Coach, when you can move a river, you can do anything....
