March 23, 201610 yr One of the reasons I like Siesta Key Beach is that not only can you drink alcohol on the beach, the city actually has a concession stand that will sell you more beer if you run out. Not sure what it would be like for spring break, but in the summer it is really laid back, and beautiful.

I do either put it in a cup or wrap a shirt or something around my can, however.

March 23, 201610 yr Did PCB once in college and Daytona once. Things happened, but it wasn't orgy city and there isn't much myself or my group of buddies could do right....but, we did college right. Post graduation houseboat trip on Cumberland? Different situation. :lol2: On a side note...we went to PCB three summers ago on a family vacation...about 10 of us, kids and all. We stayed at this place called "Splash Resort" on the west end of PCB and I couldn't get over how much they'd tried to change their image. When I first heard of the idea, all I could do was think back 8-9 years ago to SB and "Family Fun" wasn't the picture...but, it was a great time. We all get older, don't we?!
March 24, 201610 yr We stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon Hotel :lol2: I can't imagine I would ever consider taking my kids there, but it somehow seemed cool back then. They had a tiki bar that was absolutely rocking during that week. I'd be curious to visit there now just to see the differences in how I remember it. Proposed to my wife on the beach then went to Tiki hut featuring DJ Debbie.
March 24, 201610 yr Enjoyed PCB twice and even took a trip to Ft. Walton to go to Cashs' one night (Spinnaker and LaVela were interesting as well). We partied with a group from MS all week and really enjoyed ourselves. I can tell you Natty Light and Busch Light stock rose a few points that week! And we got on some crazy "white russian" kick. The drink that is :lol2:....the MS peeps loved them! Top 2 spring breaks were Cancun & Hawaii...much better waves, and food. It's about the waves and food people. The debauchery, sex and drinking (within reason ) are common place! Looks like PCBs loss will be Daytonas, Lauderdales, and Padres gain!
March 24, 201610 yr I enjoyed staying Fort Walton when I was a teenager. I spent most of my time watching F16s training.
March 25, 201610 yr One of my favorite Spring Break memories was driving all through the night and of course the passengers were drinking...a lot. Early the next morning we really needed a restroom so we nonchalantly rolled into Augusta National's clubhouse. It was greatness. Augusta National is located nowhere near any north/south running expressway...

March 25, 201610 yr The problems with spring break now is the kids now. No respect, no honor, no manners, no tolerance, no common sense, no principles, no clue, no will power. I have been to Panama for Spring Break. its not what I remembered.
