Obviously UK should win, but I am not going to be shocked by any result. UK's lack of an interior presence is burned into my mind to have full confidence in this team.

You're exactly right, and Stony Brook's best player is their big man (6'8'' 260).

The only thing I know for sure is that at least two of the following will foul out: Poythress, Skal, Marcus Lee.

They also shoot about 37% from 3 point land I believe.

If Poythress actually shows up to play, the other two are irrelevant, IMO.

Oh he will show up, but he may commit 4 fouls in 25 seconds and rendered useless. You get that with Alex. I am crossing my fingers he performs in the tournament like he did two seasons ago.

I don't see UK advancing past UNC in this tournament. BUT, that is with the mindset that Poythress won't play to his full potential.

If he does, UK is easily a Final Four team.

He plays to his potential about 20% of the time so you are more than likely correct.

He's going to be the X Factor for the whole tournament. If he disappears for any of the games after the first, I think they are going to have a hard time winning.

I think Alex Poythress = Wayne Blackshear. :lol2:

I don't even know if Kentucky can get past Indiana, but Duke getting totally dominated on the boards and beating UNC once and playing them down to the wire the 2nd time with their guard play gives me a little hope against UNC.

I think Alex Poythress = Wayne Blackshear. :lol2:

UK fans wish Poythress would be as good as Blackshear. Not a bad comparison.

Speak for yourself. I'd take Alex over Blackshear any day.

Stony Brook has one good player. That's good enough to win the America East; it ain't good enough to beat Kentucky.
