The Highlght of This UK Season For Me Is....

Featured Replies

Derek Willis - and it's not close. No matter what the Cats do from here on out the best part of this season is the success That's So Bullitt County has had.

Kid got KILLED when he wasn't a stud his first two years. Now we're worried when he sprains his ankle and what that does to the offense.

I could not be happier for a kid.

Never thought that I'd be thinking it's Money any time he goes up for a shot...but every time he shoots a 3 I'm more surprised when it doesn't drop.

Get comment and point!

The kid is Wiltjer 2.0. He can flat out shoot the rock, but he's not a terrible defender like the 1.0 version. I love it for the kid. I told a guy I work with at the beginning of the season that Willis would help carry UK this season, he didn't believe me and let me hear about it early and often early in the season. Willis has came a long way since then.

I'm not a have a 100 blue UK shirts and thinks UK is the end all be all of basketball fan.

I do watch every game now the Willis is in the lineup.

Willis is the man. So important for this team. Happy for him, I know it means a lot to him to be good representing his home state.

Tyler Ulis accepting and owning the leadership role and delivering each and every time out. Another one is home state guy Derek Willis, the way he stepped up and showed what pride in that name across the chest means was great to watch.

I remember at the Sweet 16 a few years ago when Trinity mugged him almost every trip down the floor. A few people said he was not UK material. I said in time he would be a good player for the Cats. I really wasn't sure he would be this good.

Agree with the sentiment, but Tyler Ulis is it for me. Favorite UK player ever for me. Just such a complete player.

Also, there is nothing better than when Murray notches another arrow. :lol2:

WIllis has been catching grief from UK fans since his days in high school. I've literally heard opposing fans at Bullitt East games use language a drunk sailor wouldn't use.

Maybe because I was around WIllis a lot, I was able to see his potential. Still needs to put on about 20 lbs of muscle, the three for the lead today was huge.

Like that someone started this thread, seems like lately though it's not the big 3 he hits it's the big block he has.

I'm happy for Willis. Happy for Dominique too. But Ulis is probably my second fave Cat ever. Mash is numero uno.

Just for my favorite Wildcats (no certain order) .....

K. Walker

S. Bowie

J. Givens

K. Macy

A, Davis

T. Ulis

I know that's a lot but the more I get to naming guys, the more that I think of. I guess that Kenny Walker, Macy and/or Givens are my favs.

It's definitely nice to have another shooter with Murray and Ulis and I'm happy for Willis.

But this season is all about the emergence of Tyler Ulis for me. He's carried our team numerous times and is in NPOY contention.
