Certainly exciting match-up. Got to go with Dunbar and their difficult schedule.

Gotta agree 100%, Gonna be a great game!

Haters gonna hate. Seems like you have an obsession; maybe a little resentment? As was talked about earlier, it swings both ways. As a big guard, he simply doesn't get the body and hand check calls that smaller guards get.

Isn't it interesting that no ref can see what you see? This is evidenced by the fact that he hasn't been called for it all year long - 12th region refs or otherwise. But, you can find anything if you're ALWAYS looking for it.

Yeah, you're rooting for us. We all believe that.

Look at the contest thread I have mercer picked to win it all. Faulkner is best sophomore in the state and Mercer knows how to finish games.

Lewis is one of the fastest players in the state. It'll be interesting to see how they slow him down.

I'm taking Mercer County. No statistical or common opponent analysis. I just know Coach Cook and really like him. Two very very good high school teams.

Mercer County has no chance. Period. Comparing common opponents is useless. Dunbar is too quick and they have at least the best if not the two best players on the floor. Mercer County's soft schedule will come back to bite them and Dunbar is just better.

I remember last year folks said the same things about Boyle County.......

I didn't and last year's Boyle County team would beat this year's Mercer County team.

I can understand why one would pick Dunbar. But when you say that Mercer has no chance to win against a team that they have been rated above at various times during the year, you lose a little bit of credibility. That's a ridiculous statement.

You have gone on and on about Mercer's transfers in another thread. Your axe has to be getting a little dull at this point. Is it possible that you have some history with key folks at Mercer?

Oh, and one other question. How do you think that Mercer would do against other 11th region teams? For instance, how would they fare against Franklin County?

Rankings have no bearing on any matchup. I have seen both teams play and IMO Dunbar is better and will win. No axe, dull or sharp, to grind. Mercer County could be as high as 2nd or as low as 4th or 5th in the 11th region.

Mercer had a schedule in place before the Dylan James transfer. Had they known he was coming, I'm sure the schedule would be tougher. I do think they would be right in the mix with Dunbar, Clay and Scott County at the top of the 11th. I do think they would destroy the teams like Woodford, Franklin, Madison Southern. But I think those same type of teams would be similar to a Rockcastle county or a Casey county in the 12th.

At the end of the day, Mercer is in the 12th, not the 11th and they will play Dunbar in what should be the best game in the opening round of the Sweet 16.

I am looking forward to that game

Are these games being streamed on line?

Should be on KHSAA TV.

Ill agree with the last years Boyle County team

I agree on all counts. It should be entertaining with both teams going up and down. Should be a huge crowd being at night and assuming Mercer County brings a lot of people. I also look forward to the Christian County/South Laurel matchup...two very different styles.
