March 8, 201610 yr I think this is the year I write in my vote. I think I'll write in Jeb Bush. I think he'd have been the best of the bunch in the big chair and at the least, I'll have cast my ballot for the person I think most capable of the position. I can pillow my head knowing I've voted for what I feel is the best option. It will amount to nothing more than voting for my English Pointer in the grand scheme, but that's not the point.
March 8, 201610 yr Sometimes I think that's what she'll do and then sometimes I don't. But that's definitely the best-case scenario of a Clinton presidency. I'd never, ever vote for Bernie Sanders, but I have more respect for him than I do Cruz & Clinton put together. I feel like I know where Sanders stands, that he's genuine about his beliefs, etc. I wholeheartedly disagree with the vast majority of his beliefs, but he seems to be shooting straight. To a lesser extent, I view Trump the same way. I think the best case scenarios for a Trump or Sanders presidency would be that they come up against a Congress unwilling to give them what they want, we have four years of stalemate or stop-gap compromises (what's new?), and then everyone realizes that maybe we should do things differently and it ushers in an era of more reasonable politics instead of this tribalist thing we have now. The worst case scenario is they ignore Congress and govern through edict, their impassioned believers support them to the end, and we enter into some kind of civil war as the institutions of the republic collapse.
March 8, 201610 yr No, he's just been one of the people buying them off and making them crooked for the last 30 years. How does anyone think that by putting a guy responsible for buying politicians in charge that somehow there won't be any buying anymore? He flat-out tells us that what he likes most is making deals and that's what he'll do as president. We're tired of corruption and so instead of ridding ourselves of corruption, we'll vote to put the corruptors as the ones in charge instead. I just don't understand. I'm not a Trump fan and didn't vote for him this week. Just wondering what he has done that is actually corrupt. Does donating to someone running for office count as corruption?

I assumed that's what we were talking about. What other Washington corruption would there be these days?

Amen brother. :thumb: I'm hoping that people will dig a little deeper into what he really is, what he really knows about governing and realize that a Trump Presidency would more than likely be an utter disaster for our country.
March 8, 201610 yr I'd vote for Trump before I'd vote for Cruz. What is most shocking about the election to me are the amount of Cruz supporters. Trump I kind of get. He is different, trendy, box office appeal. Cruz, I had no idea he would be as popular as he has been and continued to hang around this thing. And not just hang around, but be in a solid 2nd place. I know of people on here and elsewhere that are pro-Trump. I don't know any Cruz people, but apparently there are millions of them.

March 8, 201610 yr I thought this was interesting....Head to head, new polls show Trump loses to both Cruz and Rubio. Is Donald Trump Losing Steam? Another question, is it too little too late? Head to head doesn't mean jack squat. And yes, it's too late for the GOP, unless they do what they do best and that is find some way to cheat the voters. I hear the GOP has Brady and Belichick on speed dial.
March 8, 201610 yr I'd vote for Trump before I'd vote for Cruz. While I won't be voting for either, I would certainly vote for Trump over Cruz. Easily! Seriously, why would anyone vote for this guy ?
March 8, 201610 yr Of course it is too late. I mean, what's their plan? Keep him from getting the required delegates and then giving the ticket to someone else? Let's say that works. Then what? We already had one poster calling for armed chaotic violence in the streets. Oh, and public executions lol. It's too late, one way or the other it is gonna get worse before it gets better.

Guess there are a lot of them in Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties but I don't know any of them either.

I hardly know anyone who admits to being for Trump, and no one who admits to being for Cruz. I mentioned Kasich to approx. 10 people in the last week, and not a one knew who he was. Most seem to be resigned to not voting at all if the only two choices are Trump and Clinton.
