I cannot imagine Trump's bullying tactics working in a world where Diplomacy is usually needed. I also think that most people believe that Trump is a political outsider, which is about as far from the truth as Hillary Clinton claiming to have never told a lie. He pretty much admitted during the last debate to donating to Hillary in the past for the purpose of receiving political favors for his business.
March 8, 201610 yr I'd vote for Trump before I'd vote for Cruz. Me too. I'm resigning myself to vote third-party this year, but if Cruz is the nominee I would consider the "lesser of two evils" option.

A - I hope so B - I hope not Best case scenario is Drumpf (just realized this thread is probably actually about Trump, but I installed the John Oliver Google Chrome add-in which changes all Trump to Drumpf) cannot get majority of delegates on 1st ballot and delegates are free to vote conscience on 2nd ballot. NOTE: this only works if Drumpf has lost major steam prior to convention, done something really stupid (hard to imagine what that would be since he's already done most of the things you could think about and it only increased his exposure / poll #s ) or basically withdrawn because he realizes being President really wouldn't be as much fun as he thought it would. If the majority of people that voted for him think the GOP "stole" the nomination from him and excluded him in favor of some establishment ticket (Kasich / Rubio, Romney, etc.), they won't both showing up and Clinton will win. That said, if you could get a result where everyone basically agrees he had his time and is not too upset about him not getting the nomination, Kasich / Rubio would be fairly formidable in the electoral college -- the only place it matters.

March 8, 201610 yr Trump isnt a crooked 30 year lying politician. No, he's just been one of the people buying them off and making them crooked for the last 30 years. How does anyone think that by putting a guy responsible for buying politicians in charge that somehow there won't be any buying anymore? He flat-out tells us that what he likes most is making deals and that's what he'll do as president. We're tired of corruption and so instead of ridding ourselves of corruption, we'll vote to put the corruptors as the ones in charge instead. I just don't understand.
March 8, 201610 yr The only consolation Clinton gives me is I think she will try to do whatever is popular in the moment. Sometimes I think that's what she'll do and then sometimes I don't. But that's definitely the best-case scenario of a Clinton presidency. I'd never, ever vote for Bernie Sanders, but I have more respect for him than I do Cruz & Clinton put together. I feel like I know where Sanders stands, that he's genuine about his beliefs, etc. I wholeheartedly disagree with the vast majority of his beliefs, but he seems to be shooting straight. To a lesser extent, I view Trump the same way.
