You've completley dodged everyone's comments. Your post had the score wrong. Nobody cares how the JV teams faired in the second half.

NCC is a defending state champ and Beechwood has allways been a power house in NKY so I think ether one of those teams could beat any one at any time.

WHAT EVER!!!!! :flame:

No reason to dodge, read my up-date to the TRINITY VS Scott Co. thread

Peace Out!!!!

This is not a Trinity thread. If you want to discuss any and all things green make your own thread but don't do it again in this thread.

I actually think that it could be an interesting dogfight this year with Boone, Campbell, Dixie, Ryle and Simon fighting it out for 4 spots. I don't see Conner, Holmes and Scott fighting it out to get into the mix. It does seem like our NKY 4A schools don't typically get off to quick starts but I'm certainly not ready to say that NKY 4A as a whole is embarassing. Every team (other than I'm not convinced about Scott due to the loss of Haught to SK) this year will be better than last year's versions.

Scrimmage scores may not reflect what would happen in real games.

NCC beats Simon; Ludlow beats Scott; NCC beats Dixie; Beechwood beats Boone.

GOOD 4A teams should never lose to an A school, even if it is the best A school in the country.

Is this embarassing for all of NKY 4A?

2 teams with many, many starters returning and a much hyped, supposedly much improved SK squad.

Key word here is scrimmage , that's all it was . 1st qter Dixie 14 Ncc 0 ! Sub's and players they are looking at come in the game and a couple Dixie mistakes . All of a sudden NCC is a better team , I don't think so ! Will see week two how strong 1A will be I guess .Dixie has 77 "V" and JV players they are looking at , how many does NCC , Ludlow or B-Wood have to look at ?

Had no idea my boys actually had on L in the right hand column, I better inform KHSAA.org.

NCC beats Simon; Ludlow beats Scott; NCC beats Dixie; Beechwood beats Boone.

I think you're taking these scrimmage a bit too seriously.

And as far as GOOD 4A teams losing to 1A teams, you're giving the numbers way too much credit. Look at Manual in 03 agaisnt Danville. They straight up lost that game. And it wasn't anything to be ashamed of, because if I remember, it seemed like Danville- while yes, a A school, still had just as many players as Manual. And I believe they won state that year.

You should be embarrassed that you started this thread! Everyone knows that No KY has great single A programs and you to base your thread on scrimmage games? You do understand the word "scrimmage", right? I believe Dixie vs. NCC was 2 tds to 0, Dixie winning varsity vs. varsity after one quarter, but you base your thread on the final? I guarantee Tom Spritzky did not lose any sleep after losing a scrimmage to a single A team. Dixie plays Beechwood in a few weeks and if the Tigers should prevail, I know it won't be an embarrassment to our program. Beechwood has a storied tradition and it is an honor to play them. I should be embarrassed that I am taking this much time to reply to your comments! :madman:

Scott is not going to be very good this year.

Holmes didn't play well from what I understand versus Dayton in their first scrimmage, much of their own doing, but pummeled Lloyd Friday, 28-0.

SK stood toe to toe with NCC, and waxed Pendleton Co yesterday. And SK is not really a juggernaught, but getting better.

Ryle is dealing with some injuries but will be decent.

Boone is a notoriously slow starting team.

Dixie is going to be pretty good.

Have not heard much about Conner and Campbell.

I would think Beechwood and NCC can play with many teams in higher classifications.

Basing a team's strength on scrimmage games is probably a waste of time. Dixie and Simon played NCC very close and it's no embarrasment to be even with NCC.

Boone will be fine and, again, being pushed by Beechwood is no reason for embarrasment either.

Nobody, unless emotionally attached, expects Scott to be very good this year so they really don't figure into this discussion.

So NO, not embarassing.

I was at the Boone game!! They played well against Beechwood. Nothing to be embarassed about!!

I believe the first touchdown of the game was Boone County running the initial kick off back for a touch down!

Nice thread Wildcat!!
