Virginia 68 Louisville 46

Featured Replies

Virginia has little trouble in blowing out U.L. by a score of 68-46. UVA is playing very well right now, are extremely well coached and loaded with Sr's and it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see them in the Final Four and / or the last one standing, holding the NC trophy.

As for UL, yes it's tough for their players and fans that the school decided on the self imposed probation. That same scenario has played out at other schools through the years.

BTW .... I thought that it was a class act by Pitino and/or whoever had those rings made for those seniors. As for Pitino himself, I don't see how he didn't know anything about all of the "prostitute/party" incidents but if he didn't then he's guilty of losing control of his program ...jmo. At any rate, I don't believe that Rick is leaving, going anywhere. Seems that the UL Admin and fans, boosters love the guy. Pitino is a great basketball coach, there's no doubt about that fact.

Virginia : Louisville :: Louisville : Syracuse

Louisville has no answer for the UVA defense as currently constituted and the Hoos somehow find ways to make shots against Louisville.

:lol2:

Sometime a certain team just has your number.

UVA had UofL's number this year, just how it goes.

Louisville knows that story quite well don't they? :D. All in good fun Deuce.

At least it won't affect their seeding any

Pitino was very emotional afterwards when he was interviewed in the hall outside of the locker room.

Yes they did.. Just a bad match up with them. If we played them again Louisville would lose again. Kind of like when Louisville had Uconn's number the year they won it all. Virginia showed what Louisville needs to work on this summer. PG play needs improvement against teams that play half court man pressure. I like Snider just don't know if he make enough plays for a championship season. Hopefully the worest is over and the Cards can reload. If everybody comes back could be Pitino's best team he's had since his last year at Kentucky.

Louisville gets another post season ban IMO.

The other schools who have had the self imposed ban has not happened during the middle of a year usually. That is the big problem with it.

I cannot find or know of a NCAA school that has ever imposed a self imposed ban on a major sport during the course of the active playing season.

Miami football did it in 2012 I think, announcing it in November of that year. Syracuse basketball did it last season in the middle of the season as well I think.

Correct.

Miami did it on November 19th, 2 weeks and one win away from the ACC championship game. Syracuse did it in the first week of February of last season.

Thanks for correcting. My memory not too good today .

I will go one more ancient.

1954. UK refuses NCAA bid because their Big 3 are ruled ineligible. Their crime? They finished their degrees and were grad students. Why? Because the Cats had been banned from playing at all the year before. 1954 was their third year of competition. So the 25-0 Cats stayed home and watched a team they beat win the title.
