Would have to make serious adjustments offensively. So late in the year for these kinds of adjustments. Need Willis back.

February 21, 201610 yr Kentucky goes nowhere without Derek Willis. He is the game changer for this team. Agree, he makes it much easier for Ulis and Murray to get space and good looks at the basket. I don't really see a replacement for that on the team.

The way Bilas was talking yesterday on the broadcast, it doesn't sound like Poythress is coming back any time soon.
February 21, 201610 yr The blow from the loss of Willis could be lessened by the emergence of Humphries. Completley disagree. This offense became better because of Willis and his ability to spread the floor more and hit shots. Right now UK will be looking at a lineup who can have Lee, Humphries, and Briscoe on the floor at once. Three guys who don't bring much to the offense at all. Willis is the key and then having Humphries, Lee and Poythress rotate at the 5 is their best team.

Regardless of what happened on the Humphries free throws, it was still going to be a one possession game. Who knows how that would have played out? You can't say that play won or lost a game.

ESPN does this statistical analysis called Win Probability. Games are analyzed based on specific scenarios and the chances of winning are determined based on this analysis. I wonder how the win probability would have been impacted based on the various scenarios at the end of the game. That called technical must have shifted the win probability dramatically, I bet.
February 21, 201610 yr Man, come on. In what world is that not a technical? I'm 41 years old. I was 12 years old when I learned not to slam or spike the ball for any reason or it is a technical foul. All the rhetoric around whether this is a technical or not from talking heads is surprising. I get feeling bad for the kid because I do too but each and every person in here who has watched or played basketball for more than 2 years knows you can't slam the ball or it is a technical. And yes, if the roles were reversed and a Texas A&M player did the exact same thing Humphries did and it cost A&M the game most people would be saying the ref made the right call. You can't spike or slam the ball. Period. That is taught in middle school. I just showed you the world in the above video.
February 21, 201610 yr Bottom line is Humphries made a mistake at a crucial point in the game and put the ref in a tough position. If he doesn't call the T the A&M fans would have been upset, saying he wimped out because UK is UK. So he had to make a judgement call and in his opinion Humphries' action caused a delay of game. I suppose that is what he based it on because it wasn't slammed in a fit of anger, rather it was done in a moment of euphoria. Hopefully Hump has learned a big lesson, and also taught his teammates what not to do in moments like that. Actually I believe if this happens at UK or even there but in front of their bench rather than A and M's it isn't called.
February 21, 201610 yr I just showed you the world in the above video. And as I mentioned earlier, just because refs blew a call before doesn't mean they should continue to blow calls does it? In the history of slamming the ball down you guys provide one time in which it wasn't called a technical. You all have proven that 99% of the time it is called a technical foul.
