SK did what ever they wanted offensively for 3 quarters. Both Neace and Meier were humming. A combination of SK stopping to attack the rim and pressure by the HHS got them back into the game.

When HHS plays hard, their defense does that to a lot of good teams. Heard they lacked a little effort in the first half.

Love how she plays, and love that her coaches play to her strengths. She passes to better shots and takes when they aren't there. They get it.

HHS Coaches obviously upset about something after the shot went in; I wasn't there and can't tell a whole lot by video but Coach Mr. Richey runs out on the floor and is pointing to a spot on the floor and Jamie Richey gives the double hand fan get out of here. Any idea? I didn't see anything but they obviously had a better view than the top deck video.

I believe HHS had a game the night before and may not have had as much of a chance to prepare for SK. Usually, teams jump trap or double team Niece to get the ball out of her hands, or at least play her left hand. In the first half, they seemed to let Niece do whatever and they paid the price. After the half, they started doubling Niece. Maddy Meier had that "Beast" attitude that I would like to see more often.

From his position it would have looked like she walked. Her body would have stopped the Highlands bench from seeing the dribble she took.

1. Wow. Incredible finish and shot! And on Senior night! Congrats to SK's senior Abby Jones. Maybe that one was for her.

3. Jesse James is correct. Ally did not walk. It did look like it possibly, but watching it slowly frame to frame, it is clear she did not.

 

4. Please, SK fans, remain calm and enjoy the moment, but yes, there was a bit of a push off by Niece, on Adler (10). However, I do understand that it would have been very tough to call that, on that spot on the floor, that far from the basket, in that situation. Props to Niece for her upper body strength that made all of that happen.

 

5. How in the world did Highlands get back from 20 down? As a Highlands fan (cause I know a some of those families), that is the 16 minutes I want to see in the post season.

Neace did extend her long a little but I don't think she made enough contact to push off.

Now that the regular season is over, and seeing that SK could have handled the press better, I really wish they would have played Holmes. They needed to see the full 32 minutes of pressure Holmes throws at you and get the press breaker polished off earlier in the season.
