I was at the game last night and walked the halls...I couldn't find the football state championship trophy case? Am I missing something...I couldn't resist

I disagree. Losses matter. They give the other team hope down the road, and plant seeds of doubt on yours. If records don't matter, then why do we keep score?

 

Bellevue has the same record as Highlands. Are they on the same level with HHS? HHS had the 11th toughest schedule in the state and played several games with not just one player out, but a lot of times, two Take two of the top eight off of any team and play the 11th toughest schedule and let me know how they did. THAT's why their record means nothing at this point. They are now at full strength, tested and hopefully the challenges they were having mid year have been corrected. Doesn't guarantee them anything. But I can tell you they will have a say in the region and that's all they can ask for. They can play with and beat anyone in the region.

 

Campbell co has 9 losses and Scott has 11. Are they bad teams. Ryle has 6.

I don't make excuses. But when we are asked why their record is the way it is, that was a big part of it. So it becomes a "reason" not an "excuse" It is what it is. I could make up a lot of other excuses if you want me to and be like other fan bases.

You know, now that you mention it, I must have overlooked the basketball state championship trophy case at HHS the last time I was there...I couldn't resist....

You're right, HHS only has a couple runners up. But are you talking about the Bball one SK won 35 years ago? That trophy is getting close to antique status, isn't it?

 

Just having fun!!! It's a great accomplishment and I some of the guys from that team. It was a really nice team.

Honestly, over all, I would say the 9th is down this year. SK is 10-1 vs the 9th. I don't believe it would be a problem at all.
