For coffee, give me a stonewear mug for my first choice. I like the weight of it, and the way it retains heat. Plus you can sharpen a knife on the bottom edge :D

If you are going to use a glasswear coffee mug, then clear is as good as any other color.

I also really like the Tervis travel cups for coffee. I use them all the time.

The only purpose clear coffee mugs serve are to serve coffee drinks. Not coffee, but Irish Coffee, coffee & Frangelico, Coffee and Kaluah, Coffee and... (insert liquor here).

Exactly. I have a pair of rarely used Bailey's glass mugs that add a nice touch if I'm sharing an Irish Coffee with someone. My daily morning java goes into a regular old nothing fancy coffee mug.

I use a Contigo mug that would double as a weapon in a pinch. I'm not even sure I know what the hell a clear glass coffee mug is. Is it just a normal glass that some heathen poured coffee into?

I wouldn't trust a person drinking from a clear glass coffee mug.

I'm with you. And I would stay far, far away from someone who drinks instant coffee from a clear glass coffee mug. Obviously a coffee drinking poser.

Is that an Applebee's dessert?

I drink mine out of a yeti tumbler. The heat retention in the yeti products are mind blowing.

For me it has to be something similar to this:

For me I get the to go cups with lids. Keeps it warm longer. I love coffee. I will drink 5-6 cups a day. Always have one before I go to bed. I am drinking one right now. I can only drink decaf.

What was the coffee company in the 70's and 80's that prominently featured a glass coffee cup? I think that is the last glass coffee cup I saw.

Seems hoity toity to me.
