January 23, 201610 yr Author PP92 is right. Lue is Lebron hand picked coach and was hired to make sure Lebron stays. If Lebron made the demand I would of done the same thing if I'm the owner. But Lebron just got rid of his scape goat. It's all on him now. He sure did. It is all on him now for sure.
January 23, 201610 yr What does derozan being a free agent matter ? Cavs can't sign him ? They really could if LeBron is ok with the bench being terrible, but I don't see it happening. He'll most likely stay put.
January 23, 201610 yr My random thoughts... ....the scapegoat is gone ....if Lue can get the ball from sticking in Labron's hands against quality teams, they have a punchers chance against the best teams. If he pulls this off and beats the spurs or warriors he's legit. .... Blatt gave Lue the defense to control/setup. They beat bad teams easy, but their defense against good teams is suspect. .... this continues to putting coaching in a bad light in the nba. Doc Rivers quote was the best.. .... I watch every cavs game I can, LeBron is a great player, but if there's an ego on that team that needs to be checked, its his. No doubt he needs to takeover some games at the end, but in many of those possessions he needs/has to pass the ball. If Lue pulls that off its a win for the Cavs.

That Woj story that I posted said they wanted Mark Jackson last season but management declined because they had all the inside info on his departure from Golden State. After that they began their push for Lue to take over. Lue is represented by Lebron's agency if I am not mistaken.
January 23, 201610 yr I'd also like to say I still think Love gets traded. Every day of my life I have to avoid rehashing the what ifs of the Love/Wiggins trade. Hated it then, hate it now, though slightly less because Minnesota is actually kinda fun to watch with all those rugrats. I hope you're right.

Windhorst had a good piece about the beginning of the end for Blatt and it started from his first NBA victory. Little to no respect from his squad due to lack of NBA experience. How can you hire a coach then hire his competition for the job to be his assistant?
