January 22, 201610 yr Tyronn Lue has already agreed to a multi-year deal to be the head coach. Cal rumors are over now. The contract means nothing imo. If the Cavs fail and don't win the championship this year. Then if the Cavs believe they could get Cal then they will try imo.

If they don't win it all, then I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Cal rumors come back. Then especially if somehow the Cavs don't get out of the east. You can basically guarantee that Cals people will put a flyer out there to see if the Cavs would still have an interest to bring him in. So that in inself will start the rumors and heat up even more if the Cavs fail. If

January 23, 201610 yr I could coach the Cavs and do the same as Blatt. NBA head coaches are more babysitters than anything. Is Luke Walton a great NBA Head Coach now? If he lands a Head Coaching job somewhere next year lets see how well he does. If Blatt is that good I'm sure he will land a Head Coach job and have that team in the Finals in no time.

I'm not saying Blatt is a great coach. Nobody on here knows at this point. I am saying that he has done nothing to deserve getting fired at this point. If at the end of the year he does not win it all and they want to fire him, go ahead but to do so now when you have the best record in the East and replace him with a guy with no head coaching experience seems crazy to me. My guess is that LBJ is behind this even though they are saying no. I hope the Spurs or Warriors beat them in 4 now. Last year I was rooting for the Cavs in the finals.

You said the Cal rumors will be dead now. I am telling you that if the Cavs fail this year, then the rumors will be very strong again and even a possibility of the Cavs making another change. Now if your opinion is that change won't happen, then that's fine because that is your opinion. I am not even saying a change would definitely happen. Just saying how you will be wrong on the Cal rumors being dead. If the Cavs fail this year the rumors will start back up.

Lue will not be fired after the season and the Cavs aren't winning the title this season.
