January 15, 201610 yr Oh, and don't forget the false start that no one has brought up on the AJ touchdown that was easy enough that Stevie Wonder would have flagged it. Really we could go on all year. Gets back to a point I made several threads ago... NFL officiating is terrible... I think we all agree they've missed far too many calls all season long regarding every team in the league. Again, when announcers bring in "experts on officiating" to talk about a replay...and half the time they disagree with the call in the field... That's a problem. NFL makes so much money... Make all officials full-time guys and really hold them accountable... Personally, I think officials should've been fined for as badly as "they" let that playoff game get out of control.
January 15, 201610 yr League and officials see it differently. Considering they are the ones not only responsible for the writing, but administration of the rule, you can buy it or not. I know. I just don't see how it's not lining up the ball carrier.
January 15, 201610 yr I agree with all of the sentiments on the officiating as well, regardless of outcome. But I'll leave with this, I'm not sure had they been able to double the officiating crew that they'd had enough manpower to keep a handle on this game. Nearly a week removed, it was one for the ages and frankly I'm so glad I got tickets. Just balls out football, despite the officiating.
January 16, 201610 yr Sorry guys, I'm having trouble keeping up with all the yellow flags. Was Burfect flagged for unsportsman like conduct after he took the game ball and ran into the tunnel with 1:30 left in the game? If dancing on the field is a penalty, that should also be one.(serious question) There were more flags thrown in this game than I have ever seen in any game. Bad thing is, there should have been more.

January 16, 201610 yr I'm more upset than anything about the TD catch that in no way shape or form should have been ruled a catch in today's NFL. I think even the most die-hard Steeler fan watched the replay and thought, "Well that is going to be over-turned". Just cannot believe with the advantage of every replay angle and unlimited time to get the call correct...........they still did not.

The ball was clearly moving when the right foot left the ground and never came back down in bounds. Didn't even need slow motion to see it plain as day...
January 16, 201610 yr I wish I could blame the refs, but the simple fact is, the Bengals had the ball and the chance to put it away, and flippin blew it. It stinks, it hurts, but that's all there is to it. Be a pro and close out the darn game. Still sick about it.

At the end of the game the Bengals were all set to break through and win a playoff game against their hated rival. I still put 90% of the blame on Hill and the other 10% on Burfict, Pacman, the officials and Marvin (not sure of the allocation of the 10%). This was on Hill. You absolutely CANNOT fumble there...
