TAC
10,000 US workers will lose jobs. Be careful what you wish for. They have 2,200,000 employees. With as many Wal-Mart locations as there are, hopefully the good workers will be relocated.

I'd be curious to see the locations being closed. Part of my brain says they will be close to other WMs vs being rural.

bugatti
Wal-Marts closing shop is devastating for communities. What do you do with a massive vacant building with 2,000 parking spaces on multiple acres of land? Also generally in prime time real estate. 75center
Union related? Keep reading stories about employees trying to organize and WM closing shop to avoid it. Would not surprise me although if 95% are within 10 miles of other stores you would think both stores would be affected instead of just one. ThrillVille Cardinal51
There are a couple of Neighborhood Wal-Mart grocery stores in Louisville that are like ghost-towns constantly. The Wal-Mart Super Center on Bashford Manor is like a zoo though.
