I'm 26 holes in this year. I'll get to at least 43 Saturday depending on one hole at the home course. I love winter in KY.

 

I got 5 in a few weekends ago when we had those 60 degree temps. With basketball almost daily it's hard to do much except for Sunday afternoons, but that will all be over in about 3 weeks.

Played 18 Saturday (February 20th) in shorts (nice!). A 2nd good round in-a-row, not sure why though. Although bogeyed (2) reachable par 5's after good drives right down the middle.

 

Surprisingly, not a ball stayed in its plug mark all day.

I just can't get the golf fever yet. I am happy for all of you who can.

 

I tried to watch a little of the tournament at Riviera over the weekend, but it did not fire up my engines.

 

It usually happens for me after watching the Masters tournament in early April. I am a fair weather golfer.

Walked 8 holes Saturday...felt good enough to walk a lot more but got out a little later in the day and my foot has been bothering me some so kept it at 8. Played pretty decent. Got to try out my new Adams Speedline 3 wood...man it's hot, MUCH longer than the 3 wood I was using. But I also am hitting it a LOT higher too, which wasn't a good thing when playing into the wind, although I did seem to hit it a pretty good ways even then considering how hard the wind was blowing.

 

Got my iron club heads in I ordered on Friday (Acer XV Pro's bent 2 deg. upright). Good looking heads. Was going to put them on my current shafts but they being about 11 years old now but went ahead and ordered some new shafts too (Apollo stepless), inexpensive but good reviews from what I read, mid-ball flight which being a high ball hitter I THINK will do me good. They will be in on Thursday. Got a set of Lamkin jumbo grips at Golf Galaxy yesterday. So I have approximately $201 in new component equipment, pro at my golf club is going to assemble them for me, after I pay him I will have about $250.00 in a new set of custom clubs that I had built to my specs. I'd say that's pretty good. Really excited to get them put together and try them out.

I like a lot of courses around Lexington (Houston Oaks, U-Club, Cherry Blossom, etc). You got get out there. haha

Haven't done the Myrtle Beach circuit in 10+ years. Back then usually did S.Myrtle / Pawleys Island area courses.

 

Don't know anything about Legends facility. Let us know what you think when get back. Hit'em straight!

I haven't played since the middle of October. Won't have time to play anytime soon, but hoping to play a lot more this summer.

Only new purchase this off season is a new bag. Will that shave any strokes off? :lol2:

Not yet...been tempted but usually find something closer to the house on the weekend. But been wanting to try it.
