This same Notre Dame team had Stanford beat on the road until the last play. Its very simple Iowa simply just got exposed for not playing any good teams all year until their last two.

However I just HATE OSU fans even wanting to talk about that as the reason why the score was closer. I hate that because I am sure I won't see OSU fans also say, well if Notre Dame didn't also lose their future top 5 pick too, and if they didn't have so many injuries to all their starters on both sides of the ball. OSU fans wouldn't say that would have made the game much closer too. In fact I am sure most OSU fans would have said, no those guys wouldn't have mattered, the game itself wouldn't have been close because OSU is simply that good. However when OSU loses a guy, then that is the whole reason it was closer. So I just hate hearing any OSU fan right now want to try to justify that as the reason why the score was closer. When in reality Notre Dame has more things to say to justify for why the score or even game could have been different if they had certain guys. It's very simple OSU was and is the better team, and won the game. Also I think Notre Dame showed to be better than some want to admit, even with a lot of backups.

He would have affected their run game much more.

January 2, 201610 yr Well Marvin would be perfect at managing a 14 to 0 lead if the running game is working like it was for OSU. The run game was working when the Bengals were up 14-0. Then Denver made adjustments much like ND did and Ohio State went to a passing game in the middle of the field. Whenever ND did something on defense to take something away Ohio State attacked in another area.

January 2, 201610 yr N-Dame never had a chance in this one. It was over after the opening quarter. Agree. Love my Irish but they were just outmatched. Would love to see them play next year with both teams at full strength. Not taking anything away from OSU, they were clearly the better team today.
