The better team won. As many players as Notre Dame had hurt it was going to be hard to win. Even a fully healthy Notre Dame team would have a hard time beating OSU. OSU is the most talented team in the country.

With that said like it or not Notre Dame proved they were better than you all want to admit. Besides the first quarter when Notre Dame came out a little she'll shocked, once they settled down they played right with them but the better team won.

As for Notre Dame they are a true top ten team this year. Lost on road on last play to Clemson. Lost on the road on last play to Stanford. Showing they could play with anyone, and today OSU was the best team they seen this year including Clemson. Yet even with OSU playing like Osu fans wanted by running the ball, Notre Dame still had a chance in the end.

Notre Dame should be a top 5 team going into next season. Good season by Notre Dame and nice way to end a great 4 year run for the seniors and under classman at OSU going pro. I still think OSU and Bama are the two best teams in the country.

Charlie Weis is officially off the payroll.

Ha was this finally the last year they had to pay him?

Ha was this finally the last year they had to pay him?

Yup.

This was probably the best coaching job by Kelly.

How many starters did he lose this year?

QB

2 RBs

2 NT

CB

TE

Nice to have depth.

I don't disagree...but OSU lost that liberty when they tanked against sparty!

Go Clemson Tigers... :lol2:

I'll ask OSU fans this question.

Was the unanimous #1 team to start the year the right ranking? Or were the Buckeyes overrated?

This is another reason I believe we need an 8 team playoff.

Notre Dame overachieved this season. Good coaching job by Kelly, but out-talented in this one. Almost a cake walk.

Yes, I would have ranked OSU #1 in the preseason. They would have shown better against Clemson in the game yesterday, but forfeited the opportunity with the loss to MSU. Can't have a division runnerup in the final four.

It was correct, too many mouths to feed and a bad hire in Tim Beck/losing Tom Herman caused dysfunction.

This was probably the best coaching job by Kelly.

At one point this season, they were without double digit starters in a couple games. Today, they were down 6 defensive backs (not all starters) going into the game.
