January 2, 201610 yr I'll ask OSU fans this question. Was the unanimous #1 team to start the year the right ranking? Or were the Buckeyes overrated? OSU was hurt by the loss of Herman as OC. OSU was also hurt by having too much talent at QB. If Barrett played from the start of the season, OSU would be playing on Jan 11.
January 2, 201610 yr The better team won. As many players as Notre Dame had hurt it was going to be hard to win. Even a fully healthy Notre Dame team would have a hard time beating OSU. OSU is the most talented team in the country. With that said like it or not Notre Dame proved they were better than you all want to admit. Besides the first quarter when Notre Dame came out a little she'll shocked, once they settled down they played right with them but the better team won. As for Notre Dame they are a true top ten team this year. Lost on road on last play to Clemson. Lost on the road on last play to Stanford. Showing they could play with anyone, and today OSU was the best team they seen this year including Clemson. Yet even with OSU playing like Osu fans wanted by running the ball, Notre Dame still had a chance in the end. Notre Dame should be a top 5 team going into next season. Good season by Notre Dame and nice way to end a great 4 year run for the seniors and under classman at OSU going pro. I still think OSU and Bama are the two best teams in the country. Amazing how much better the ND offence looked with Bosa in the locker room!

January 2, 201610 yr OSU was hurt by the loss of Herman as OC. OSU was also hurt by having too much talent at QB. If Barrett played from the start of the season, OSU would be playing on Jan 11. No, if they would have beat MSU they would have at least played last night.
January 2, 201610 yr I'll ask OSU fans this question. Was the unanimous #1 team to start the year the right ranking? Or were the Buckeyes overrated? Overrated for the lackluster performances they put together for the first 11 games of the year. Best team in the country the last 2 games.
January 2, 201610 yr Amazing how much better the ND offence looked with Bosa in the locker room! Bosa was absolutely wrecking the game. OSU had basically no pass rush until the very end after Bosa went out. The score was a lot closer than the game was. I don't think anyone watching ever thought Ohio State was in trouble after that 1st drive.
January 2, 201610 yr At least the B1G is back to the way it should be with Ohio State and Michigan being the class of the conference.
January 2, 201610 yr Too bad the Rose Bowl did not take OSU instead of Iowa. Stanford/OSU would have been fun.
January 2, 201610 yr Amazing how much better the ND offence looked with Bosa in the locker room! All of their 1st half success came off of 3 step drops. Bosa wouldn't have changed that.
January 2, 201610 yr Thank goodness for OSU (and Mich) for the Big Ten the last two days. The Big Ten has been beaten up - Northwestern, MSU and Iowa all look like the weak kids in school getting bullied by the mean kids...took their lunch money and stole their girl friend too...
January 2, 201610 yr Too bad the Rose Bowl did not take OSU instead of Iowa. Stanford/OSU would have been fun. They didn't have a choice.
January 2, 201610 yr Why not? I thought since MSU (champ) was in the final four, they did have a choice. I am guessing you are right though... Still would have been a game many more wanted to see...
January 2, 201610 yr I must say I'm disappointed in the lack of competitiveness of the major bowl games so far. It does seem like the playoffs need to be expanded to weed out the pretenders.
January 2, 201610 yr Author Amazing how much better the ND offence looked with Bosa in the locker room! That really is not a game you want to play is it? If you want we can really dig even more into all the players Notre Dame lost, especially on the defensive side of the ball which probably helped OSU look so good on offense. Osu lost a future top 5 pick and maybe overall pick. Notre Dame also in this game lost a future top 5 pick to go along with all the other injuries they already had. So you may not want to play this game. As I stated the better team clearly won.
