OSU could play the Patriots, GB, Carolina and a couple of others and people would still whine about their schedule :lol2:. Remember all of the posts claiming the same ol :deadhorse: complaint a couple of years ago ? When VT beat OSU, all the cheers, celebrating ... "they're dead, can't compete, not a top 25 team, etc., etc. .....".

Then then the Bucks went on a run, Beat an Al Mighty SEC champion and an "Unbeatable" offense of the always overrated Oregon. Breezed through bot and removed all doubt on who was no question the best team in the country that season.

Buckeyes beat themselves this season, no doubt about that but I am to the point that I am feeling pretty good about things when all the whining starts. :thumb:

All of the above is no being thin skinned or a rant, just the normal on here and that's fine.

btw .... I love watching the SEC as well as anyone, just realize that other areas / conferences can play some good football as well. Teams can only play the schedule that's in front of them and there is good arguments both ways. That, to me anyway, doesn't mean that just bc one team comes from a stronger conference than another team that the team is better bc of their conference.

So basically what you are saying is that you get to hang your hat on one year where it worked out well for you all and was able to prove the "haters" as you all like to say wrong. When in reality the "haters" as you all say have been more right than wrong about OSU over the years here on bgp, just saying...:D

And OSU fan wonder why they have "haters" and its not because of people being jealous. It is the same reason why people hate UK, it is the fans. OSU football fans and UK basketball fans are one in the same and think everyone is out to get them, and I am UK basketball fan but can't stand my own fan base half of the time lol.

This. This. This. I just want to be able to watch a football game involving an SEC team and appreciate it like I do every other good football game. But instead I constantly find myself subconsciusly wanting the SEC team to lose just so we don't have to hear about the SEC. I'm tired of people acting as though the little logo on the jersey is more important than the name printed on the front.

All the reasons for why you all want the sec to lose is the same reason why I want OSU to lose. You all don't seem to realize you all act just like the same people who say sec, sec, sec. As I said above OSU football fans and UK basketball fans are one in the same, which is why both teams have so many "haters" as you all like to say lol.

I don't care if people hate Ohio State. I'm completely fine with that. If people hate us that means we are doing our job. But we root for 1 team not 14. That's my issue.

UK just has 13 big brothers in football.

Once again its not Ohio state people hate. It is Ohio state fans. That is what you all don't seem to get lol. Which is why I always find it funny when OSU fans on here like to call people haters, or say they are just jealous lol. No its people just hate the majority of stuff OSU fans say. The same reason why people hate uk fans lol.

As for the whole Sec thing. I think it's more of a matter of respect because these teams pound on each other and earn each others respect. Now I agree with you in the fact that someone shouldn't be all excited and pumped for an sec team win like they would for their own team. I do agree that is just silly for people to get all excited about that.

This is the point I've been trying to get at all along. A lot of my friends are UK fans, but they'll watch bowl games that SEC teams are in and get just as excited if not more than when UK wins.

ND DB Kei Russell has declared for the draft.

He was going to have to get special approval for a 6th year anyway. This was expected.

Silly.

Root for you own team. If it's not UK or ND I could not care less who wins. I just want to be entertained.

But didn't you also say that you root against SEC teams whenever they play? Sorry, that's no different IMO. You're just rooting against a conference instead of for one.

I root for Kentucky and Tennessee. Yeah I root against everybody else, but only because everybody else roots for them. Just have to balance everything out. I don't want to root against them. I want to just watch the games as a fan of football. But when others around me are rooting for a team simply because they have that little SEC logo on the front of their jerseys, it makes me want to root against them. The only team I actively just flat out root against though is Bama.

The reasoning is irrelevant IMO. You're doing the same thing you complain about others doing, just in reverse. I see no difference.
