From the sound of things it looks like Eddie Gran could be our new OC

I've never heard of him, but that doesn't mean a thing. Where has he coached?

Well I just googled him, and see where he's the OC for the UC Bearcats. I guess @gametime can fill us in on him, and if he feels he'd leave UC for UK.

Here's what I expect from Eddie Gran.

Eddie Gran would be a good hire. Good recruiter, more proven as a play-caller than Coley. Basically the same guy, but Gran has coordinated offenses that have produced at a better rate (given the amount of talent on hand).

I agree Coach Gran would be a good hire. The offense would really improve and you would see a better brand of football.

 

I hate the "System" I think parts of it is good, but for me it has far more issues to be the complete offense.

Gran has big time experience along with some time in the SEC. He's moved with Tuberville quite a bit.

Darrin Henshaw is the qb coach and passing game coordinator at UC. Great offensive mind. Can we get him instead?

I think Gran has done an OK job at UC, but he hasn't blown me away as a play caller. It has taken 3 or 4 games every year for the O to really hit stride, and a lot of that is trying to force square pegs into round holes until there was no choice but to play to obvious strengths he worked away from early.

 

He'd probably be an improvement on what UK had, but he can be frustrating as well...

Word I'm hearing is Gran would at least double his salary with a 2 or 3 year guarantee deal if he leaves. Might also be more than UK in the mix for his services...

UK is getting the most talk right now, but sounds like others are trying to get involved. I know he turned down a B1G school already...
