Kentucky Football Changes

Featured Replies

So with the loss today against the Louisville Cardinals. Kentucky finishes the season at 5-7 (no bowl game).

What does UK coach Stoops and UK AD Mitch Barnhart make this offseason?

- Fire Shannon Dawson and hire another offensive Coordinator? I've seen better high school offensive coordinator's than this clown.

- hire a special teams coach?

- Stay with the one's they've got?

Start with the head coach. Does anyone feel we are better than last year? Heck I think we are worse than we were week 1.

Coaching doesn't matter if they can't get some O and D linemen that can play SEC level football. That should be the biggest priority. I think Stoops has done some good things at UK but I think this season and the way they lost today, kills any momentum they had as a program. It may be time for a fresh coach.

Today was not an SEC school and they still got hammered. How about just playing football and then we work on the SEC thing.

Would love to see Patrick transfer and go somewhere and be successful. Huge fan of the guy and he is NFL caliber in my opinion. Needs to be in a better situation.

This head coach doesn't have his full team.. Started 13/22 freshman and sophomores.. Dont change. Hate that mentality now that you should just fire a guy within a couple seasons if you're not a national power. Thats why we have so many high school coaching changes each year. But this isn't basketball you can't start 50% freshman and win ball games

New OC and maybe a new DC. Stoops better do better next season or he will be gone too. Has to be one of the hottest seats in the country going into 2016.

The coach and AD have to go. No reason to not have success at UK.

Have to say that I thought Stoops would have them in a better place than they are. The offensive coordinator hasn't been helpful by any means, but it starts at the top.

Lol. Because the have such a long standing winning tradition

6-6 should be possible by year 3.

Who's suggesting 12-0 and a title run at KY? That may never be feasible but 6-6 when 3 games are against nobodies should happen.

This is a football thread..

People act like if UK got rid of Stoops or even some of the coordinators that better ones would come to UK. I don't understand that mindset. This isn't like UK basketball where you can fire Billy G and get Calipari. UK football isn't capable of firing-up.

Exactly that's what bothers me. UK will most likely never be a national power in football, be content with the fact that at least you're competitive now while your best talents are young. This isn't basketball is exactly right and the basketball success is the problem with the fans and football expectations.
