Maybe UK should consider firing the players. I know. It's not popular. However, they get scholarships to perform well. If they aren't performing well and you've done all you can to coach them up (Dorian Baker) then it's time to recruit over them all move them down on the depth chart.

I don't know exactly how connected this source is but IA4TCs is correct. Could just be a rumor but I do know UK paid Elliott more than Bo's salary at YSU.

Bo was on the UK sideline Saturday with one of Stoops' brothers.

One thing I want to see changed and that is discipline. I saw too many touchdowns this year that the "posing" going on after the TD was ridiculous. They are in college (major conference, but not major school), not the NFL! Score your TD and go to the sideline!

Yep, take all the emotion and fun out of the game. Celebrating TD'S ain't the problem, and just going to the sideline after scoring ain't gonna make this team better or more watchable.

Rich Brooks was 4-8, 2-9, 3-8 in his first three seasons at UK. He took over a program ravaged by probation. He finished 8-5, 8-5, 7-6, and 7-6 over his final four.

 

Stoops has begun 2-10, 5-7, and 5-7. Took over a program ravaged by Joker's ineptness as a head coach.

 

Firing Stoops now sets the program back.

 

However, Two differences. Brooks was an experienced head coach who brought in experienced coordinators. Stoops was not and really has not. Stoops hasn't poached other programs of well-regarded coordinators.

 

I think Stoops and staff is more concerned with the number of stars next to a recruit's name than the intangibles. How many stars did Derek Abney, Craig Yeast, and Dicky Lyons have next to their name coming out of high school? How many of us would trade every receiver UK has for these three?

 

There has to be consequences for failure to produce. I don't care how many stars Dorian Baker has next to his name. If you can't catch simple passes, you don't play.

 

Also, two quarterbacks = no quarterback. You almost have to question if Towles and Barker are SEC level quarterbacks. Again, remember the stars coming out of high school?

 

How many five star players has Stoops gotten commitments and LOIs from that have never stepped on the field for whatever reason? UKs recruiters need to learn to dig deeper than the stars or else 5-7 will be the norm at UK

 

Neal Brown was the OC at Troy for 1 or 2 years and Texas Tech for 1 or 2 before coming to UK. He was also one of the hottest names at the time. I'm pretty sure most thought that was a home run hire when it happened.

I did not say that at all. Football is a team sport. Anytime this crap goes on in the end zone, you are bringing attention to yourself, not the team. And yes, celebrating TDs can be a problem if the attitude is I, I, I and not team, team, team! I love to watch a player score a touchdown and hand the ball to the ref or just drop it after he scores. And then if he wants to celebrate he goes to the player/players that helped him score the TD. If you want to be an individual, take up golf, tennis, or track!

I can handle chest bumping, jumping, etc, but I do not like the "posing" that has been happening with some of the U.K. players where one acts like he has a camera and the other poses for the "picture"!
