In addition to SK, off the top of my head in N Ky alone the following teams have their team benches opposite the main grandstands:

...I'm sure there are a few more. I figure it's their home field, so it's their right to stand wherever they want free of cheerleaders, bands and screaming fans.

 

I think the question is more if there is a choice. Highlands and BW don't have stands on other side. Don't think CC does either? I've not been to their new stadium. It certainly is their choice, but you are rolling the dice. Combine a fired up bunch of 18 year old boys with a bunch of adults in the stands that forgot what being an adult means and its a recipe for what apparently went down at SK last night. Same thing happened at BW last year vs Mayfield. One of their D lineman decided it was a good idea to face the crowd and do a nice crotch grab. Couple adults with 15 year old mentalities decided it was offensive and off it went.

Un proven how? How did any team other than outside the top two change tonight?

 

What team in 6A proved that playing a tough schedule means your still playing?

 

They played a weak schedule and had a very easy side of the 6A tournament bracket. If you play a tougher schedule it gets you prepared for tough competition in the tournament. Case in point, 2014 Trinity was 5-5 going into the tournament. They played 7 out of state opponents, and the 3 teams from the super district, do you think that may have prepared for their state championship run?

Ultimately, who you have on your team is the most important aspect as to whether you win a title or not...not who you play.

So are you saying SK was not talented? Trinity was not the best team last year, but they were battle tested. I know just because you play a tough schedule doesn't guarantee anything because some teams are just better, but Lafayette on the other hand was not a better team, hell they gave up 70 and 65 to THS and Scott.

Maybe, maybe not. Yes they did come back and beat two teams that had beaten them in the regular season.....but they were teams that were within their district that they played and lost to in the regular season after playing their meat grinder out of district schedule. Shouldn't they have been just as prepared to beat Male and St X in the regular season?? Or did playing Moeller in the finale give them the edge they needed?? And was that schedule exactly what they needed to get by Meade County and Dixie in the semi's and the finals.

 

I'm sure that schedule helped some. But Dixie wasn't going to win the final even if they had played that same schedule Trinity did.
