You guys are really bashing on the sk fans yet no one has said an example of it. Last night at Lafayette game I was sitting on the home side and one of the players flicked the fans off, then the bald heavier set guy came over and gave him knuckles. Did lafayettes captains shake hands with sks? Heard they did not, now that's low.

Now now, I'm not bashing them. I am just laughing overall at the discussion because I do find the set up of having the visiting team in front of the home stands a bit odd.

I didn't mean to bash, I was just kidding, heck I'm a Ryle fan, I'm sure their coaches want to move to the otherside of the field too : )

I'm sure none of SK's holier then thou fans (particularly the adults) would ever yell at the visiting players in front of them.

 

Face it. It's asinine that the visiting bench is in front of the main stands. No way to justify that other then Dodgem wants the fans to aggravate and intimidate the visiting team.

So, all I can take from this is..... SK needs to change where the home bench is. Cuz I don't think the crybaby fans can handle another home loss. That way they can console their players, not be rude to the other team.

Two of the biggest reasons were Landon Young and Jedrick Wills. During the regular season, they sometimes played red-zone defense, but I don't think they took a play off after the first quarter. They were able to contain the sides of the line and SK just didn't have an answer for them. SK had a bit of success against Lafayette's secondary in the first quarter, but that seemed to stop once their O-line began to break down.

 

There also seemed to be a real attitude shift once Lafayette caught up to, and then passed, SK. SK seemed a bit deflated.

 

Pretty much what I said in the update and post game thread. I was honestly really impressed with Young on defense. That kid can flat out move for a football player his size and his size keeps you well aware of where he is on the field.

Is the visiting locker room still behind the concession stand on the opposite end & opposite side of the field house?

Other then an attempt at intimidation can anyone give a legitimate reason that Dodgem decided to go against state wide norm and put the visiting team in front of the home fans?

 

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the field house. However I think you should disregard anyone's explanation and keep on coming up with cute nicknames.

Maybe, just maybe if the visiting team was in front of their own fans WHERE THEY SHOULD BE it wouldn't have happened.

 

One thing I've noticed SK fans seem to be fairly thin skinned are very quick to throw out the classless tag after they get beat. One of the reasons I hold them is such low regard.

 

Character works both ways..... Some people have it, some people just don't get it.

So you're predicting running roughshod over a weak schedule and a flameout in the playoffs. Gotcha.

Barring a complete H choke, can we all now agree that the 6A state title was decide 8 days ago? H & LL have one common opponent; H beat T twice, LL lost 70-14.

 

Will it make everyone in Louisville sleep better if we say the 6A state championship happened 8 days ago?

 

Somehow I doubt Male quit practicing as hard because they knew they had it wrapped up, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm wondering if the teams being on the opposite sides is due to the sun. Especially during early season games, the sun is brutal on the west-facing visiting team/home fans side. Perhaps SK didn't want to have the sun in their eyes.

 

I still agree with everyone else that it's a horrible idea, but maybe that's a legitimate reason.

Makes complete sense, maybe the SK coaches don't want to listen to the SK fans so they go to the other side of the field : ) just kidding, trying to keep it light : )

Louisville folks sleep just fine knowing their 4th or 5th best team is better than anything NKY has to offer.

I agree it doesn't make sense, but I'm not sure you'll ever get an answer as to why, so is it really worth talking about?With that said SK has hosted Male, Cooper, Highlands,Ryle and so on and there's never been an issue.

 

Now with THAT SAID, I don't think last night was much of a problem. I know what was said and or signaled and it really doesn't matter. My favorite thing to do(I like a good laugh)is listening to people talk about class or lack there of, because apparently they have never showed a lack of class or wished their friends or family exhibited more.
