As a season ticket holder, I'm not happy about the possibility. 8 regular season home games is a lot to attend, but you won't have any problem selling the tickets if the Bengals are having a decent year.

 

If it is what is best for the League I am okay with it, even as a season ticket holder.

I would prefer that they play the normal amount of home games. I enjoyed the game on TV because we went to late church, but I'd be ticked if I got screwed out of a home game if I was a season ticket holder.

I think they probably just figure you wouldn't be attending, but why not give it a shot?

I read some long piece a few years ago about the London games where the writer interviewed a number of fans. He found that a lot of fans were in fact American ex-pats, and would attend sporting the jersey of their hometown teams, but that it wasn't like 50 percent or anything.

 

London's a big city. Plenty of curiosity-seekers will come out for a big enough event, and you can bet the NFL makes it seem as big as possible during its visits. That same story is where I (and The Onion) got its joke about the Jaguars.

 

One of the weird side effects was that British fans of American football did in fact start following the Jags and buying their jerseys because they were there so frequently. It's at least part of what continues to fuel the idea of a franchise there.

Since those games are not in prime time, I like the idea....

I don't understand why they'd have to take a home game away from any team that plays there.

 

Couldn't those teams just have 8 home games, 7 American road games, and 1 London road game?

I hate NFL in London. Didnt they have that league once before it rain duing our NFL off season? Europe Football league or something? I remember rhein fire or something like that. Only thing cool about a game over there is we get to see another game of NFL football on sunday.

eventually Brown won't have a choice and everyone is going to have to go to London. expansion is coming there too, so get used to it.
