Rumors circulating about Bengals playing a game in London in 2016

Featured Replies

A few months ago, we received a tip on Twitter that Bengals ownership was present in London for the Bills vs Jaguars game, staying in the same hotel as the teams and that they were there to meet about the Bengals playing in London next season. That was all speculation.

Now, rumors are circulating once again that the Bengals will be playing in London next year with the belief that the Bengals will be the home team, playing against either the Eagles or Dolphins. These are just rumors.

FOX Sports Senior NFL writer Alex Marvez Tweeted today that Mike Brown wouldn't give him a definitive answer when he asked if the Bengals had plans for an international game.

Missing the Fins game probably wouldn't bother me. Missing Chip Kelly (if he is still the coach) and/or having to get up early on Sunday may bother me a little bit.

How about you, what do you think about the Bengals playing in London?

I hate London games... It's the NFL not the IFL (International Football League).

On a side note, that schedule next year is going to be no joke.

Steelers 2x

Ravens 2x

Browns 2x

Broncos (presumably)

Colts (presumably)

Patriots

Bills

Jets

Dolphins

Cowboys

Giants

Eagles

Redskins

With that schedule we can call London a week of respite.

And in the past I may have been upset but ten times a year is a lot of games to attend, I can live with 9 and some playoff games.

Doesn't every team have to play a game over their within a certain window? Thought I read something about that once.

Also, this makes perfect sense to me. The Bengals did Hard Knocks twice for the League so playing a game in London and doing the League another solid sounds like smart business to me.

As an Eagles fan living near Cincinnati, I won't be happy if that game gets moved to London.

There's no way Brown would agree to this unless he was cashing in big-time from the NFL. I wonder if Londoners are OK with not getting their favorite team, the Jaguars?

So the Bengals have never taken part in a throwback game because Mike Brown is too much of a cheap-butt to spend the money to outfit his team in throwback alternates, but Mikey's cool shelling out the bucks to send everyone across the Atlantic Ocean for a week?

Methinks the league is picking up the tab.

I have no idea but I find it hard to believe that the NFL puts their teams in a position to lose money by playing in London.

I hate the London experiment.

As a season ticket holder, I'm not happy about the possibility. 8 regular season home games is a lot to attend, but you won't have any problem selling the tickets if the Bengals are having a decent year.
