McCracken just beat Mayfield, plain and simple. More size, more depth, more talent overall.. Even so, Mayfield was a missed FG away from winning that game in regulation..

I haven't seen either team, but I admit I was shocked when I read the thread of the OC/Murray game. Sounds like they totally dismantled the Tigers. For the Mayfield fans, would you consider this your toughest game of the season to this point other than McCracken?

 

I would suspect that honor would go to Caldwell County, they maybe 3rd in my mind

OC only has 1 kid going both ways. They could if they wanted to have 0, but Coach Edge uses his best during the playoffs. IF they have nobody going both ways for a long period of time in the game, then watch out. I was told Mayfield has about 5-6 players going both ways. Is this true? IF so, it could make a difference cause Murray got tired.

 

No, there maybe 4 I can think of and even then they take some series off. Do you really think you can wear down a team that plays the schedule we do? This is a non issue on our end anyway

Mayfield has more talent then OC overall. PERIOD! I will say OC will has the best athlete in Morton.

 

Catholic vs Daviess county. Why everyone brings that game up? 2nd game of season. Lost an OL and he came back at about week 9. Similar to mayfield getting Bright back. They also dropped 12 balls and had 12 penalties, although the crew that night hates catholic. Still managed to play in OT. Does not say a lot about DC having Catholic play like dog crap and still have a chance to win.

 

So mayfield had kids out vs McCracken. Let's hear what mamma says on the subject. I want to hear from some mayfield fans.

I'm not following what you want to hear from us. But the "mamma" thing might be a Waterboy reference, so I will go with that theme. Something must be wrong with your medulla oblongata if you think having the best athlete on the field means OC wins the game. LOL!

For OC I love #3 and the QB, outside of that I think MF is equal or has advantages in most spots. Line play, the kicking/punting game and team speed are Cardinal appear to be Cards advantages at least from the game films watched. In your analysis, I found it interesting that you would overlook or at least fail to mention our #1 receiver in Kenemore instead mentioning our #2 and #4 receivers.

 

I was actually wondering about Kenemore. I noticed his production really tailed off from mid-season until now. Was he injured or did defenses key on him? You're right, he's a nice player

I know Rambo will agree with this but Mayfield fans are a lot like UK BBall fans. They are kind and polite to you as long as you don't have one thought you can compete with them. I am not saying that's a bad thing because I am one of those cat fans but it just funny to be on the other end of it.

No UK fans blame the refs, Dick Vitale, Jay Bilas, ESPN, Calumet Farms, you name it. Mayfield fans are nowhere near UK basketball fans.
