I look for Queen, Terry, and Fortman to all sign D1 scholarships with Okoro having the option of hoops or track.

Watch out for the new girl at Rowan County, as well. I hear she has some potiential and she definately has a good coach.

Not sure of the girl's name. Troy Lee tells me that she can hoop.

You never can tell. Senior Hoose on bench or in the radio booth?

Will Adams be back quacking on the sideline?

Coach Adams has retired after four years as an assistant coach at Russell, due to increasing back problems. Quack!!!:fire:

Look for Vanhoose to stay with the radio.

I think the addition of Robinson may actually make Russell weaker. I think it will mess with their chemistry. I am calling it now (Look for Ashland to win it this year!)

Your right, the one game they lost this summer, I thought Chemistry was the MAJOR issue lol

Probally more of a chance for the new coach at Ashland to mess up the chemistry:laugh:

Finally, Good Luck to Coach Flynn, I didnt always agree with him, but he stayed true to his principles throughout his tenure. He was the same coach

when everyone wanted a change in his early year, then he was brilliant

during the Rose Hill run, and then everyone was ready for a change again at the end. I never saw him change at all, he was the same coach throughout, just people's "mood" changed. He represented his office well and was well thought of by other Coaches. His only weakness was he had a hard time "connecting" with his kids in a way that would bring about overachieving.

and he failed to "rally" the fan base ,which a lot of coaches struggle with.

But his teams were always prepared to play and played defense as well as anyone. He will do fine in Bourbon County.

As many other posters have alluded too, a bigger problem for Ashland basketball has been their feeder system. It is just not designed to create excellence and has actually worked to limit basketball opportunities over the years, probally to the benefit of football and baseball.

IMO, Ashland's problems start at the Bluegrass! Literally!

Now this guy has his finger on the pulse of the Tomcat problem. I would not take this job if I were a candidate unless I had some control of the gradeschool/feeder system. I wholly agree that this is where the problems have started for Ashland.

P.S. I'm sure that Tomcat nation is thankful I'm not their candidate!

Played at Rose Hill 2yr ago with his brother?

Is it the feeder program you are referring to???

I personally think that the Ashland job would be the best job in the region and one of the best situations for a coach in the state. JMo but they have always had a strong tradition and good kids to work with. Some of the Tomcat insiders may feel different bc of the "feeder" programs that I am not aware of but if I were a coach looking for a job, Ashland would be at the top of my wish list.

As for the question, I will say #1. Ashland #2. Russell #3. Elliot #4. Rose Hill (if they have everyone returning, not sure). Greenup co. could also be in the mix. I am just glad to had picked two class A schools in my top four.
