I don't have a clue what you mean, but it's still funny... :thumb:

Well, someone was trying to compare the entertainment value of the 16th Region Tournament at Johnson Arena when Rose Hill had their all star team and the entertainment value of MSU Graduations. I mean, there's not really any way to compare these two things.

Now, Wireman, I'm sure you have attended a goodly number of college graduations. I would estimate that I have attended forty or so including three of my own. Nothing is more significant to those who graduate and to their families than is that event and the hard work it represents. Such graduations are special. All graduations are special. Basketball games pale in comparison. However, my reference was to entertainment. Graduations, other than kindergarten, are not entertaining. Hopefully, that will clear the air.

Coacheswife's latest post is right on target. Too many posters are quick to condemn without first taking a look in the mirror.

16th62nd, it is never good to raise questions about the character of kids particularly when you don't know them and all of your information is heresay. I do know them and they are good kids. They are no more of a problem, nor less of a problem, than are the kids at your particular school. There is too much judging, mainly through thinly veiled posts, that takes place. Of course, some posters wouldn't like to be confused by the facts.

The 2006-2007 season should be competitive around here. There are no great teams and most are mediocre at best. Russell deserves to be the favorite. Elliott County will be close behind. Several others could sneak up and win the region. However, it will take a lucky draw to get past the first round in Lexington.

Most kids are not suspended from school twice in one year and assessed over 30 technicals in one season.

Some of you guys on here live in a fantasy world.

I'm not trying to condemn you - I'm just saying that as special as they may be to everyone involved, graduations are not exactly as exciting as basketball.

Your post said: "It could be that the MSU graduation draws as much as did those regional games. However, I think that you will agree that the entertainment was much superior at the games. Also, for those who seem to still feel the emotional pain of those two years, maybe you would feel better if you returned all of that extra money that you earned during that time."

Gotcha... :thumb: I understand the absurdity of trying to compare the two. I guess I got hung up trying to determine whether the Geo Metro or the submarine was the most exciting...

I've read this entire thread and I can't get why you referenced SB's post and then posted that. First, have you ever met either O.J. or Bill? I doubt it. And regardless of what has transpired in Cincy, how many T's or suspensions did they get while at RH? Perhaps I do live in a fantasy world,,,one where people grow up and move on. Everyone at RH has. Everything was done within the rules and by the book,,,and frankly is the direct reason that Bill will be ineligible this season.

I should've just been simple and said comparing apples and oranges or something LOL.

Which Rose Hill player was suspended twice in one year? Rose Hill hasn't received 30 technicals in their history. Speaking of fantasy worlds would you like to define "home grown".

FWIW, I too think ballgames are more entertaining than graudations.

You graduated????????

You graduated????????

I thought that was you in the back row:lol:

All the fluff aside, I would hope that whomever represents the 16th region gets all of our support. I believe it was YAKOFNORWEIGIA who said that he supported Russell this season when they represented the 16th and would have supported whomever our champion was. It's my hope that that would be the case for all of us.

P.S. Even though I was serious with this post, this may be the definition of FANTASY WORLD!

When the YAK speaks, people listen.

I think it was in reference to the Dynamic Duo's act at North College Hill.

Did anyone ever state the reason why the Dynamic Duo left Rose Hill?

It must be have been the enticement of public school education.;)
