November 1, 201510 yr The best thing about this game and shows how good this team is. Is the bengals have a hard enough time beating the Steelers, but to beat the Steelers even with all the mistakes they had today, shows that this is a different Bengals team. They never paniced like they would have in the past. Hopefully that is a good sign for the playoffs this year as long as they eventually clinch a playoff still. Who Dey!
November 1, 201510 yr How about Burfict? Ended up having to play more than expected because Malauaga going down... Burfict is a beast! Can't wait til he gets in playing shape!
November 1, 201510 yr I think Burfict showed how important he is to this team. He probably played a lot more than they planned overall I thought he looked really good. He may not have his full speed back, but he makes up for it with being such an instinctive player. Loved seeing him back and he played well especially with only three days to get ready.
November 1, 201510 yr Really sloppily officiated game both ways. Seemed like they toss a flag then decide after the fact if it was a penalty. Jeez, know why you throw the thing before you throw the thing. Both ways, just junk. As for Ben, his record after returning after an injury is abysmal. He made some poor throws for sure. LeVeon out is a killer. This team is toast without him. Had the injury bug not bitten, I think they'd have been a serious SB contender. Tough with your studs missing that much time. Hope for the Bengals sake that their injuries aren't significant. They have the "it" this season it appears. I hope you are right on the Bengals. Agree on the officials, throw the flag and then sort it out. Only at least when it came to the AJ penalty in the endzone the refs definitely got it wrong. I think officiating as a whole is down in quality. The Bengals go lucky today, I will take it. On the negative, the Bengals don't put consistent pressure on the passer, the Steelers front seven definitely dominated our offense for most of the game, Tez is far from 100%, I hope he hasn't lost a step, Time Out management is still terrible, I would let Andre Smith leave for free agency after the season, Peko is useless late in the game when you ask him to play that many downs, and I think we need to draft all defensive players in the upcoming draft.
November 1, 201510 yr Lot of complaining AGAIN in the update thread about one of the best Bengals team in history. Way that game was played, it deserved a lot of complaining!
November 1, 201510 yr I'm as big of a Burfict fan as there is but I thought he looked slow today and just a little heavy. No where near the Vontaze Burfict we are used to seeing which is expected.
November 1, 201510 yr Hmmm a lot of Dalton sucks in the update thread. It wasn't his best game but only a few throws do I think we're just bad. He had pressure in his face the whole first half. As we have seen even Tom Brady looks bad when he is getting pressured all the time. So I really don't have any problem with Daltons play. In fact even with so many things going wrong, he didn't look rattled like he would have in the past. I think even Dalton would admit this was probably his worse game of the year. That isn't taking anything away from what he is doing this year. Just as you said even Brady has bad games. This was one of those games but again if you actually read the game thread you would realize the complaints were geared toward Marvin and Hue. Hue's play calling was abysmal. Hill had 29 yds on 3 carries in the first half and they didn't give him the ball the rest of the half. Then in the 2nd half they still refuse to run the ball and when they did they moved the chains and once again went away from it once they got in the red zone. They were something like 5 times in the red zone that ended in 0 Points. That is the complaint I had. Daltons poor decisions just made it worse.

Don't forget Tez had never had all the great intangilbes like great speed, etc. What had made him great is his leadership, how smart he is, and how instinctive he is. He makes up for not being the fastest player by recognizing plays quick and that gets him there in time. I thought he looked great for playing that much with only having three days to get ready. Would have to assume once he gets more in football shape and more reps we will see him gain another step back too speed wise. The Steelers didn't get much done running when he was in. Most of their big runs came when Lamur replaced him.
November 1, 201510 yr Way that game was played, it deserved a lot of complaining! Yeah ya gotta hate it when they go to Pittsburgh and pull out a big win. Hate to see the comments on here when they actually lose a game.

Daltons poor decisions just made it worse. I did read the thread most of the thread was Dalton sucks. Up until about 5 minutes left and then it switched to only His and Lewis sucks and didn't say Dalton anymore lol. Numbers wise did he play great nope. However even some of his decisions were fine. The top qbs in the game don't look as accurate and make decisions they may not normally make when they are constantly pressured. So if it was simply Dalton hasn't looked as good because of the line then most people would agree. However most of the post were Dalton sucks and no mention of the line playing poor for that being the reason of him not looking as good lol Now complaints with Lewis and Hue I agree with. However I think people are just tired of only hearing about the negative all the dang time. They are not perfect but they are one of the best bengal teams of all time so far. So no need for over reactions of the suck, they are the Bengals again, etc. I was frustrated too watching them kill themselves most of the day. However I also knew they still had a chance so was no need to overreact lol. It's all good though. We beat the Steelers so this is a good day! Who Dey!
November 1, 201510 yr Yeah ya gotta hate it when they go to Pittsburgh and pull out a big win. Hate to see the comments on here when they actually lose a game. Ha its no fun on here when they lose that is for sure. I have been trying to show people that this is a good team and should enjoy it during the regular season. But sure enough when they lose everyone comes out lol.
November 1, 201510 yr Way that game was played, it deserved a lot of complaining! Why? We act like all these other top teams play perfect football all game. When in reality they don't. What good teams do though is find ways to win even when they don't play their best. The fact that they overcame their own mistakes to still win is what we should focus on. Who dey!

Not sure they will understand that though...

November 1, 201510 yr You can analyze it to death but the Bengals got a tough W in Pittsburgh against a Steeler team that is a contender. I'll take it anyway you can get it. Hate seeing Bell go down, though. Haven't seen any news but hopefully it's not as bad as it seems.
