Who said the Bengals can't beat good teams this year?

Seriously you need to take a deep breath.

I said their defense today, I will repeat that, TODAY didn't look great as they gave up a lot of yards between the 20's. If that's the only issue today's game showed then I'm very happy. Just because something of concern is brought up you don't have to take it to extremes. Lighten up.

No one said they could not beat good teams. They've only said they have beat bad teams or not very good teams or teams with bad offenses. And if we play a good team we may be in trouble.

People haven't said the team is in trouble when they play a good team. It's Daltons play that usually looks bad when they play a good team especially games that get alot of hype. As I mentioned they have beaten a lot of good teams in the regular season and a lot of top qbs in the regular season the last 4 years. However in a lot of those wins Daltons play leaves a lot to be desired. So far this year Dalton looks to have a different more confident look to him, so hopefully it's a good sign.

Today if we played a good offense we would have been in trouble with the number of times they allowed big drives down field. 7 FG's for 21 points tells me that the defense allowed a lot of deep drives today. That is what I was saying. Tom brady and Gronk would have had a field day with our secondary today.

Do the Bengals play New England this season?

As a Patriots fan, I wish...

Do the Bengals play New England this season?

I believe that is a no.

They will when New England comes to Cincinnati for the AFC Championship game.

That would be awesome!!!!

The Bengals offense is looking incredible. The defensive line is playing well. Linebackers are just ok. DB's underperforming. Dre is not getting it done. I know he is hurt but he just isn't getting the job done. Best thing he did today was show he is faster than Macklin when he chased him down and prevented the TD. I thought Denard made some nice plays today. Safeties are struggling. The back half of the defense needs to get better.

That being said, best looking Bengals team I have seen in many a year.

Right now they are up there with NE as a top two AFC squad.

Dalton playing well. Looks confident. Hope Marvin doesn't rear his ugly head anytime soon and cost us.

I am really happy with the overall outcome of the season to date. The things that worry me as concerns moving forward:

1) Penalties- On both sides of ball the team has overcome them to date. They have to reduce their frequency, in today's NFL they aren't being eliminated. Team has to know what's being enforced and adjust their play accordingly.

2) Tackling- I've seen too many plays which could have resulted in a tackle for loss or shy of the line to gain. An improvement in tackling will naturally filter into better defensive results.

3) Game Management Decisions- one name because buck stops with him, Marvin Lewis.

The biggest issues this Bengals team has are their game management (coaching) and the idiot kicker. Nugent will cost this team before the season is over, he does it every year, with zero repercussions.

Completley agree!

They will when New England comes to Cincinnati for the AFC Championship game.

Yep. And we can discuss that game at that juncture. Seattle is all we should think about this week. Who Dey!
