We've had this debate time and time again on here, so I'll simply say one thing and then I'll bow out.

He's the best of all-time as of right now, but I think 5-7 years down the road there is a great chance that Aaron Rodgers will hold that distinction.

He is certainly worthy of the discussion. Some of those numbers are just cumulative stats, but you do have to be in the playoffs to acquire those. The Pats have never had much competition when it comes to making the playoffs. That is not a knock on Brady, just a reality, but also a variable they've capitalized upon.

I'd say yes.

I'd say yes, and I love the chip on his shoulder he plays with. He is not my favorite, that goes to Rodgers, but Brady has done it without extreme athleticism, just a student of the game.

I don't think a GOAT at QB can be determined. At best you can determine the best by era...Brady is very well the best of this current era.

This is well stated. QBs today are going to lap the field with numbers. The game is played differently, the rules are different, and there are more games. The game has evolved. Stands to reason the criteria for grading QBs should evolve as well.

He plays for a great organization with great players, something not many guys get to experience.

Many factors beyond play have to take place for anyone to be in consideration. Organization, attrition, coaching, etc.

What about Troy Aikman? Best QB in the game during their run of titles? Brett Favre was great for a while until he got old and the team fell apart. Montana was fantastic with Jerry Rice and that defense.

I guess it's easy to be the 'best' if you are a part of a great team. I'd like to see how Brady would do in Detroit and how Boston would do with the Lions QB. I'd bet that both would do ok but Stafford would shine while Brady would be average. Product of your environment, I guess.

Too many great ones to compare. Montana especially. That being said, 30 years ago the rosters did not turnover like they do now. Brady and Rodgers are the best right now. I believe Manning has slipped out of that conversation.

Yes he is. I will base this on, in the last 40 years if I had to win a game who would the QB be. Only two are there in my mid - Montana and Brady. I'd be happy with either.

Brady is a bad bad man but I think Rodgers is better than him. Brady has more accolades and is more celebrated. He has done more with less than anyone I can think of. That being said I think Rodgers has the total package more so than any QB I have ever seen. Because of the way the GOAT arguments are structured I believe Brady is more of the consensus GOAT and I am fine with that.

Stats mean nothing to me. When receivers can run free downfield offensive stats are bound to be great.

I still say the most amazing NFL record (for a long time) was Unitas throwing a TD pass in 48 consecutive games considering the rules they played by.

Anyhow, John Elway is my choice. Never had a stud receiver and finally had a great RB late in his career.
