Who wins?

And I see the Bengals open at about a 3 point favorite. I don't think that is enough. Thoughts?

From the Oakland game, we still had bad time out management and I am not sold on the Bengals pass rush. What else would you like to see improve?

Bengals where 4 for 13 on 3rd down.

I feel confident the Bengals win this game. I'll be there and looking forward to a great day.

A little bit more of a challenge for the Bengals this week, still think they probably win.

If the Bengals can run the ball enough to keep it away from Rivers, they should win. If not Rivers will put up big numbers with too many Bengal 3 and outs.

Rivers is NEVER out of a game. He has proven that more than once against the Bengals. He was down 21-3 yesterday. 'Nuff said. I think the most underrated QB in the league.

Pass rush has me concerned after watching the lack of pressure against a suspect Oakland line.

Bengals started with the JV in the bay, will now be tested a little against SD.

Sure would have been nice to see one of the 3 available DE's in the draft when Bengals picked in the 1st round on the field yesterday to try and help a pathetic pass rush. So how did our #1 pick play yesterday anyway? Will he have any impact in the Chargers game?

Don't answer that.

Rivers was:

P. Rivers 35/42 404 yards

That does not bode well for the Bengals. Might have to win a shoot-out. I would hope Bengals might have a little revenge for Chargers coming in here and bouncing Bengals out of playoffs.

In the not too far future the Bengals may have a revenge for half the AFC teams that beat them in the first round of playoffs.

Matt Ryan's week 1 #'s were talked about last year too and how bad he would torch the Bengals.

Rivers is a good QB but his #'s last week were against a Detroit defense that lost half of its D line and secondary is marginal at best.

Saw this and thought it was interesting:

Philip Rivers leads the NFL in passing yards, but his 3.7 yard average depth of target is the shortest in the NFL

You act like it would have been a sure fire thing that if they drafted one of those DE's that the DE would have automatically done well and helped. Shoot if there was such a can't miss DE that people knew for sure would go in and help right away, he would have been gone in the top 10 picks. Not to mention with the Bengals having Johnson, Dunlap and Gilberry, whoever they picked wouldn't have played much anyways.

Its not like Oakland's QB's were sitting back there with all day to throw, their QB's were getting the ball out of their hands quick. In fact they only moved the ball at the end of the game when the Bengals went prevent and let them do quick dump off's to the runningbacks. The Bengals had very few positions where a guy they drafted would have actually started.
