There have to be some great football conferences in Texas. Probably some very good ones in California and Florida. With all 4 teams (LaSalle, Elder, Moeller, St. X) in the top 100 in the United States, there can't be anyone close to the GCL.

Definitely one of them, right now all teams are up.

Top to bottom it is hard to imagine four better teams.

This year I'd say so. Most years they're still in the top 25 probably. Very stacked this year.

I would say so. The last USA today poll had St X Moeller and Lasalle in top 30 nationwide.

I'd say consistently over the last 20-25 years there can't be more than a handful of conferences on the same level.

Most conferences have good teams and then some bad teams. Since they only have 4 in the GCL South they do not have any bad teams. There might be a district or conference that has a couple of good teams but they have 4 very good teams in a good football state.

And remember there is a GCL North that is smaller schools. They do not play teams in the GCL South.

Region 1 in Georgia used to be ridiculous. It had Valdosta, Lownds, and Camden County. I'm not sure what it looks like now though.

That's not what all the national rankings say.

Region 1 in 6a is usually pretty damn good and considered the toughest region in Georgia. Most years it might give them a run for their money.
