The maturity and growth of players even at a school like Thomas More make a huge difference especially at the line of scrimmage. The weakest second team lineman at Thomas More is probably stronger than the strongest lineman at Bishop Gorman. If the Bishop Gorman players stayed together for 3 more years and then played Thomas More, now you might have a ball game. Most likely few if any of the Bishop Gorman players will start as a freshman in college. That tells the story right there. The BG players may have more talent but they just are too young and immature to compete with a college team

I think the BG players vs Thomas Moore age difference is like 17-18 (Because the coach probably only wants to play juniors and seniors) vs 21-22. Only four years. You may be right but I think it would be close.

UK would probably win 56-10

As has already been stated obviously there is no way that a high school football team could compete with the University of Kentucky. The biggest reason would be physical development of 15 to 18 year old kids going up against 19 to 22 year old men. But that fact aside UK has 85 players on its roster that were capable of earning a scholarship to a school in a power 5 conference. UK may be near the bottom of the SEC, but it's still an SEC team. That doesn't mean that Bishop Gorman isn't an elite high school team, but it's like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo.

 

To further illustrate this point, lets suppose that the last 4 classes from Bishop Gorman had stayed together on one team and therefore would be the same age as the current UK roster. I got this information on Scout listing the recruited players that were 2 star and above for Bishop Gorman. I will list them by what their current college class should be (not factoring in any redshirts).

Many CCH players are DIII worthy. I don't think you understand the skill level of DIII compared to the skill level of a DI powerhouse feeder school. I think Thomas Moore would have the advantage due to age and development but it would be close at minimum. I'd say 38-35 Bishop Gorman. Think about it. Bishop Gorman is insane. CCH would easily get destroyed 73-0 (if they ran the clock)

That was my biggest adjustment from HS to college was getting used to the speed of the game. It was easily a step or two faster than the HS game.

BTW, the exception to the colleges not being able to beat the pros (or high schools being able to beat colleges) is baseball. With a stud pitcher on the mound and a couple of errors by your opponent, the underdog could sneak out 1 victory in 50 tries. Easily.

 

And that has happened in recent memory....a Florida junior college knocked off one of the Pittsburgh Pirates' spring league teams a few years back.....

 

Even so....pretty rare.

UK would score on every drive. Just the age difference is huge, Bishop Gorman wouldn't even score.

This is just out of curiosity. Bishop Gorman is ranked #1 nationally and UK is a DI football team.

 

I would like to see Bishop play Saint Thomas Aquinas. They have Bosa on who is a beast. They have 3 kids with NFL ties CB Samuel, WR Bruce and some WR named Irvin.

Like a lot of folks, I assumed this was just a joke question, but throughout the pages of responses I've concluded that the OP is obviously a young guy who was seriously asking.

 

CCHDynasty, here is an analogy that may truly bring it home for you. Ask yourself this question, let's say a middle school team was really good one year, better than they've ever been. What do you think the outcome would be if that middle school team played a game against CCH varsity? That's the same age game we are talking about with a high school team vs a college team.

 

Now, to make it more apples to apples, think about the other argument. Bishop Gorman has had 20 D1 players total over the past 4 years ... Very impressive, but a lot of those D1 players went low D1, to D1 schools that even UK at its low points routinely beats by 30 pts. UK has 85 power 5 level D1 players every year. So a better analogy to your question would be could a really good middle school team beat the varsity squad from Trinity, Moeller, Cincy St. X.

 

If you answer that question honestly you'll have your own answer to your original question.

The worst college team in America would be the best high school team as badly as they wanted. There is NO comparison to 17-19 year olds vs. 22-23 year old men...wouldn't be competitive, not by a long shot.
