Like a lot of folks, I assumed this was just a joke question, but throughout the pages of responses I've concluded that the OP is obviously a young guy who was seriously asking.

 

CCHDynasty, here is an analogy that may truly bring it home for you. Ask yourself this question, let's say a middle school team was really good one year, better than they've ever been. What do you think the outcome would be if that middle school team played a game against CCH varsity? That's the same age game we are talking about with a high school team vs a college team.

 

Now, to make it more apples to apples, think about the other argument. Bishop Gorman has had 20 D1 players total over the past 4 years ... Very impressive, but a lot of those D1 players went low D1, to D1 schools that even UK at its low points routinely beats by 30 pts. UK has 85 power 5 level D1 players every year. So a better analogy to your question would be could a really good middle school team beat the varsity squad from Trinity, Moeller, Cincy St. X.

 

If you answer that question honestly you'll have your own answer to your original question.

I agree, no need to call you...or anyone on here a child. With that said, the age disparage is the same. I will illustrate my point. Let's say you have a incoming 9th grade lineman (current 8th grader) that has been working out for about 2 years (2 off seasons). You have a senior to be that has been working out roughly 3-4 years. The incoming freshman is 13 and the senior is 18. The incoming freshman rep tests 135 4 times and the senior does it 27 times. Now, lest go to that same senior who rep tested 135 22 times and can rep test 225 6-7 times as an equivalent measuring tool. The senior to be in college can hit that rep test 27-30 times. It is equivalent by comparison. The numbers I was using were mine from my incoming freshman year of college weighing in at 207 and rep testing 225 7 times. I graduated in 4 years at age 22 (so imagine a redshirt senior) and I rep tested 225 at the combine 31 times. The difference in middle school to HS and HS to college is a very comparable illustration. Gorman couldn't beat the worst college team on any level in the country.

Never called you a child, never insinuated you were a child. However you comments throughout this thread seem to indicate you are indeed younger than a lot of the other respondents. My assumption was you were a high school student, That doesn't mean I called you a child.

I'm 19 and I'm a college freshman. But I do assume that I am younger than most people here. The reason I made this thread was because I was impulsive and I thought it would be an interesting matchup. I also wanted to hear your guys response. And I was led to believe that this was a mismatch. I thank you guys for the knowledge. No sarcasm intended.

One other thing to remember. Is Bishop Gorman a very good high school team? Yes. Are they that much above 100 other elite high school teams in the country? Absolutely not. You will see that the top teams in a lot of states would be very competitive with each other. KY might only have 2 and Texas and Florida may have 10 each or more but there is not a whole lot of difference between the elite.
