September 14, 201511 yr And didn't OBJ sit out a few series yesterday after being hit in the head? He isn't durable I guess since he sat out.
September 14, 201511 yr Top WRs to me Megatron, Calvin Johnson Demarious Thomas Brandon Marshall Odell Beckham DeSean Jackson AJ Green Yeah Dez falls into this category with them but he is yet to prove he is durable and dependable. AJ Green is very good Megatron is on the other side of the hill, and on his way down. I'd still take him on my team, but no way is he a top 5 guy anymore. Demarious Thomas, maybe a legit argument. Don't see him as the same type of big playmaker though. Probably top 5 though. Brandon Marshall--No, no, no. Wasn't even the best guy on his own team last year. Odell--still has a bunch to prove. Desean Jackson--makes big plays, but isn't a possession type guy, and isn't big enough to make the tough plays in the middle of the field. AJ--He hasn't been durable, and is hindered by his QB, but probably is a top 5-7 guy.
September 14, 201511 yr A "Best WR in the League" list that includes Desean Jackson and not Antonio Brown is void. No reason to discuss the rest of the list.
September 14, 201511 yr Dez is the best WR in the league right now with Mega Tron a close second, Antonio Brown, Demayrius Thomas is right in there with AJ Green. Those guys are proven. However I am a Cowboys fan as well, the dehydrated thing is aggravating since its the first game of the season, you have to prepare your body better than that, yes he is a drama queen, very few WR's that aren't. Broken foot is bad luck, getting home field in NFC is huge AKA last year. Dallas stunk vs. 49ers last year first game, sloppy and lots of T/O except lost, next 4 weeks are rough for them.
September 14, 201511 yr I would actually say Gronkoski is the best in the league at catching the football, period, list him at TE but he is a monster. Man is really good and a mismatch at all times vs. LB's
September 14, 201511 yr And no one is happier than Dez himself. Getting the big bucks for doing nothing. And yes I'm calling him out on it. He got paid a lot and got sorrier than before. He may have well just sat on the season like he threatened to do. Dez Bryant has more heart than the whole team combined. Not sure why you hate him so much but Dez would be on the field if he could, no way you can convince me he doesn't want to be out there. I guess you haven't seen his post game reaction when he came out to the tunnel to meet the team as they were coming in.
September 14, 201511 yr Yeah he was so thrilled to get that new contract that he never played 1 single pre season game or before the contract while under contract never attended a practice. The coaching staff held him out this offseason to keep him injury free, worked leading up to the season but not so lucky last night. His hammy was an issue so they didn't feel the need to rush him back for meaningless preseason ball. How you got he was just being lazy and not wanting to play I have no clue. He will be back and be ready to go. Most offseason hold outs don't stay in the kind of shape Dez stayed in this offseason, most don't show up at the facility to hang with the guys either. Dez is as true of a Cowboy as anybody except for maybe Witten.
September 14, 201511 yr Really. Many elite players play in pre season. Dez Bryant has yet to prove himself as an elite player. Being paid like one doesnt make you one. :scared: Being the best receiver in the game doesn't make you elite? Even though it is debatable, since Dez came into the league his numbers match up against anybody (even though he's missed a handful of games). Even if he is not the clear cut #1 WR, he is most certainly top 3-5. It really comes down to preference when sorting between Megatron, Julio Jones, Demariyus Thomas, Antonio Brown, Dez, and now Beckham Jr. Considering Dez is the total package I would take him although I'd be happy with either one. Dez can do it all, run after the catch, make guys miss in space, bulldoze guys, block, go up and get the ball, and make the circus catch. Perfect combo of size, speed, hands, and ability.
September 14, 201511 yr One interesting thing that , unless I missed it, hasn't been mentioned is the clock stopping on the unsportsmanlike penalty against Dallas. They benefitted because they did not have to use a timeout. Seems odd that a team could save a timeout by committing a penalty.

What's more odd is it stopped after OBJs catch near the goal line because Dallas was off sides. Even though the Giants declined, I believe it stopped.
September 14, 201511 yr No. He sat out one play. I stand corrected. Someone at work told me it was a few series.
September 14, 201511 yr Giants deserved nothing. Bad coaching at the end cost them the game. Luck kept them in the game. Offense was awful. Eli deserves as much blame as anyone at the end of that game for the loss.

Must be a Bengals hater.
