You may be right but that's what you get with having so many watered down conferences. The SEC is hands down the toughest conference with the best teams top to bottom. When you have conferences with only one or two top 50 teams. The ones that look good early on that happen to be in the most stacked conference are obviously going to get the nod. We know that by week 10 the SEC may have 5-6 in the top 25. They will likely have 6-8 win a bowl game as well. Edited September 9, 201511 yr by sportsfan41

The SEC is still the best conference but it is a shell of itself when the SEC was dominating the BCS Championship games. That's my main point. The SEC is no longer scary. Top teams from other conferences can defeat a lot of teams in the SEC. That is something that couldn't be said as recent as 3 years ago.

While the margin between Alabama and the rest of the conference is significantly less that doesn't mean any SEC team can just waltz through any conference. Also remember the best team just happens to be in what everyone thinks is the worst power 5 conference but they would smoke every team in the SEC

They've sent teams to the last two Championship games that lost the past two years by a combined 10 points. I highly doubt Saban or Miles feel as though the sky if falling. Georgia has been good but not great, Florida has been a shell of itself the past few years. Regardless, the rankings are correct for now given recent history(past decade).

SEC football is what I enjoy to watch the most. I am a fan of Ohio State but nothing like SEC football.
