I would be surprised if there were no repercussions for the coach.

Class B misdemeanor...unless they view a helmet as a possible deadly weapon...then we are talking felony. If the courts wanna make a statement, they will hammer these kids. I don't feel one bit sorry for them. Apathy at their age is at an all time high and they need to be held accountable to the highest degree in my opinion. A helmet directly in his back could have been REALLY bad. I have no doubt Texas will take this very seriously. They are just a little different down there! LOL

Weird...wasn't for me this morning.

If more of their team or a coach or coaches knew anything about this they should suspend their season forfeit all their games and shut down the program. Ridiculous and very dangerous. If I'm the Ref or his Lawyer guessing criminal and civil charges are pending.

Sounds like an assistant coach has been suspended.

Just heard On CNN that 23 year old assistant coach on leave for telling players to go after him because he had cheated them out of the W.

I'm sure if it's true that leave will turn into a permanent vacation. As it should.

Now they are sayin the ref made racial remarks ? So which is it. Did he make a bad call? Or did he say something. ? An isn't one of the kids involved white? What the heck is wrong with these kids now days??? They should be kicked off team an out of school. Total disregard for safety of others. Sad. But they need to go!!!

Racial slur or not, the kids shouldn't have retaliated like that, let alone a coach instructing them to carry it out!

Thank God that these players weren't carrying guns.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't call the game right there. That's enough to end it IMO.

I can't believe it's happened before. If the authorities (legal and football) don't have a strong punishment it will only affirm the terrible decision these boys made. 55,000 views on this video, wonder if the two boys ever saw it? Someday a baseball player is going to get seriously hurt by a purposeful thrown pitch and baseball will have to deal with their immature, reactive boys too.
