August 31, 201511 yr It's always been Denali to Alaskans. I know both times I've been there that was the common name of reference.
August 31, 201511 yr Why change it? It's being changed back to it's native name. The name "McKinley" only goes back to 1896.

August 31, 201511 yr I couldn't care less about this, but I wasn't aware that Presidents had the power to change names of things. I'm going to write Obama a letter and ask if he'd change Papa's name to Wilbur.
