Maybe that's because the only place it changed things (in a "blind" draw) in a major way is the issue everyone wanted to eliminate in the first place. Make the Big III fight for one of the final 8 spots and then it's 7 against 1. I seriously doubt it changes who takes home the trophy, but those others "seeking a level playing field" in 4A are now happy...

I find it VERY difficult to believe if anyone else was in this position that they wouldn't be the slightest bit preturbed. Make fun of those with the arguments all you want, but hypocrisy doesn't suit you people. Youi're all better than that.

Again you aren't reading my post and are twisting it. I am AGAINST the split and against this way of doing it because both weaking 4A.

 

I already have explained what I think should be done. Woody why are you beating a dead horse?!!! I said I prefer a 5A system to this mess and I also preferred the status quo with a few ideas that both public and private can agree to that limits the range a player can be drawn from.

How am twisting it? I went down through your post and tried to address it exactly. Please post my statements and show exactly how they twist what you said or mean. I acknowledged your thought on the private/public split didnt I?

I asked if I was reading your statement of weakening 4A correctly - You really have not stated a response directly to that as far as I can see.

Is it your belief that 4A is weakened b/c of 1 extra week of practice may be lost by SOMEONE? - You guys do not deserve the extra week anymore than any other team - sorry.

Is it your belief that 4a is weakened b/c SOME kids/coaches will get discouraged at the prospective schedule and just give up? If so, then I would suggest football be dropped at those schools. Zillions of kids all over the country play football b/c of reasons besides how far they think they can advance in the playoffs. Some never make it at all.

Is it your belief that 4A is weakened b/c those 2 best teams aren;t playing the last weekend? Thats not a valid point.

What have I missed? tell me and I can agree , acknowledge, or offer a differing viewpoint.

Why would Grant County care? They trade a 1st round loss to Lex Cath for the same vs CCH or Highlands. If they did pull the upset, they would have the same fate in round two. When nothing really changes for you, why bother? Wouldn't at least playing a team they know give them a slight edge they didn't have? Is it closer to Ft Thomas or Lex Cath from Dry Ridge???
