August 20, 201511 yr Most of the tweets that I saw said that the person actually paid X number of dollars to join the site, so to answer your question: probably not many...but who knows. This is bizarre. From my understanding you can also join for free as well but if you want to cancel they would "scrub" all your information and it would never be found for a fee of $20 or something. That obviously isn't the case.

This is bizarre. Yep. The ones who have credit card info attached to it are screwed. Those addresses that didn't pay anything are the ones that could be fake.
August 20, 201511 yr What are the hackers trying to prove? Do we know? I think I read that they said that the site claims when you cancel they remove your data for good, and that it's a lie. Basically exposing them as liars and that they keep the data.

I tend to agree, although I think money spent is a pretty good sign. Email addresses not so much.
