It's a business. And it certainly should never have been tax exempt.

 

Are the teams tax exempt? Isn't that where the vast majority of money made by the league goes? I look at the league office as a pass through account where every dime possible is squeezed out to the owners.

 

If the league isn't tax exempt then does the TV contract money get taxed going to the league and then again when the teams get their share of that money? Sounds like a double dip by the IRS if that's how it is working.

O.J. = Cut off two people's heads. Barry Bonds=His head grew 5 sizes thru roids and then he hit 73 HRs. Lance= Took roids, blood doped, took whatever in order to win bike races. Ray Rice = Beat up his fiancé/wife. Brady=Super Bowls or maybe hot wife.

Berman aggressively pointing out the various flaw in the NFL’s position, Brady reportedly became less willing to accept a suspension of any duration.

Smart man. After the way the judge smacked the NFL in court they need to just let the judge rule and then be done with it.

Who knows what will happen? From what I listened to this morning, no person is disputing that the Commissioner looks bad. Not much of a revelation. But where the legal folks go a separate direction is where they feel it is still a long shot for Brady to prevail. The "hole poking" is more of a tactic to attempt settlement because they sympathize with Brady and want the NFL to peel back a bit; but, ultimately things will side with NFL because it sets a terrible precedent for a judge to rule on a decision that was part of a process drawn up through collective bargaining. Having dealt with Unions, that part makes total sense.

 

Again, who knows?

Agreed. What I find interesting is that the NFL is 0-4 in the last 4 cases in which a federal judge was brought into the equation.
