August 17, 201511 yr Author Mitch Kramer Memorial Fund by Patrick Blair - GoFundMe Mitch Kramer, beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, teammate, and friend, passed away early Monday morning, August 17, 2015. He was to start his junior year at Thomas More College that very morning. Mitch was a standout student and athlete—studying biology and preparing for his third year of football for the Saints. He is a graduate of Campbell County High School. Mitch celebrated his 21st birthday on August 2nd. To read a note from Thomas More President, David Armstrong, click HERE. All proceeds are to fund a scholarship at Thomas More College and/or Campbell County High School, as well as family funeral expenses to celebrate Mitch's life.
August 17, 201511 yr Had to call my son and some of our other coaches this AM and tell them about Mitch. We spent so many hours in the gym and on the field over the years. A very, very sad day for St Mary, CCHS and the whole community. Our thoughts and prayers with the entire Kramer family. Please pray for our community this week. Obviously, no one suffers more in the area of "loss" in a sad case like this as the parents and family. My sister lost a child when the child was about the same age. Age is irrelevant. It's a CHILD to the parents. However, I have no doubt that you're like me. If they're a good friend of your child and/or you've spent time coaching them up through the various sports then it HURTS. You get attached. So, brother, I feel for you.
August 17, 201511 yr So sorry for the loss of such a fine young man. So heartbreaking for a parent to lose a child, and as Clyde said, age is irrelevant. My thoughts and prayers for the Kramer family, they have tough days ahead of them and need all the love and kindness they can get. God bless Mitch, may he be showered with the light, love and presence of The Lord.
August 17, 201511 yr Wow, this is so horrible. I do not know his family but as a former player for St Mary's (Holy Name League) and a TMC grad, this really hits home...just way too young. Prayers for his family and many friends. Those team pics are so sad...
August 18, 201511 yr Coach Lickert cancelled practice yesterday and took the entire team over to the Kramer's to show their respect and support for the family. That may have been his most valauable coaching lesson ever. Class guy running a class program. Thoughts and prayers out to the entire Campbell County community.
