We all know Cincy St. X is normally very strong but should Highlands be concerned after being drilled so hard in the scrimmage?

Highlands has gotten drilled for the last few years by Trinity in scrimmages and seemed to do OK.

 

Even if there is some concern in Bluebird land, no one will admit it

Is X the 3rd or 4th rated team in Cincy?

Final was 48 to 22 I believe. Many questions to be answered and gaping holes to be filled. Just like most scrimmages over the years, many will be addressed and answered during the upcoming week and others may take a game or two, but will eventually be taken care of as well.

This seems to be a year where St. X (OH) is very good and are up from where they normally are (which they are typically very good). Highlands may possibly be down a little bit (Again, usually a very good team). We can always go back to that this was a scrimmage, and Highlands always prepares and utilizes players as such. This season should be very exciting for Highlands.

Well, last year HHS played against Trinity before the X game, and X did not get to play a scrimmage before they played HHS. Highlands got thumped by Trinity and then played well enough to "beat" X the following week. Could it be that HHS has a penchant for improving a lot from the first scrimmage to the second scrimmage/game every year, and that is what we will see this year?

Cincy St X is considered the 3rd best team in the state (not D1) for this upcoming season.

The biggest issue to me is glaring and needs to be improved sooner than later. I just don't know what you can do about it? I think the Cooper game will tell a lot about how good this team will be..

I'm not sure but Hoge controlled the scrimmage last year in the first half.

I do agree that the Cooper game will tell us a lot more about HHS than the scrimmage. The GCL is really loaded this year...even more so than normal. Lasalle is the class of DII and may be as good as anyone in DI. Elder has A LOT back from a very good team last year and Moeller is very good as well.

 

A buddy of mine who went to the scrimmage was told by a HHS coach that St X. issued over 360 uniforms this year to football players (freshmen, JV and Varsity). That is crazy!!!

Highlands seems to lose big when they scrimmage powerhouses and still seem to win titles at an alarming rate. I don't think they will panic.

Now their woes if they have any may not be fixed this week against Cooper but if they were playing SK instead I'm sure they would look a lot better.
