Corbin Poole, I believe. I am not sure that worked out as planned. Hebel was a man child and Huddleston is ready. Dougherty did not but an argument could have been made that he was ready.

I stand correct. I had no idea honestly. I just got the impression from what I had heard that it was rare.

At a 6A school it could be detrimental. Many of kids have the talent but 8th graders probably should not move up to take the place of a freshman it numbers are good. If the younger levels are for development, then 8th graders would sometimes move up and not allow a borderline player to continue and potentially get better to help your program later. This happened in the scenario that you mentioned. Probably hurt the program in the long run. It used to be that if dads wanted their kids to play up, then the program let them. It is not the case any longer. Coaches in the Ryle program would rather 8th graders stay in their grade.

 

Really must be a new mindseat at Ryle.

Agreed would love to hear some more names. Any body in the Turkey foot, Twenhoffel ,Woodland outlets care to enlighten everyone. I love talking reading this stuff.

I'm going with rare to move up at HHS. I can only think of 3 in the last 6 years.

Corben Poole moved up as well. Believe there might have been one other one, but name escapes me at this time. That would make almost 1 per year.

You are looking at it as rare for percentage of kids but if you look at it as percentage of years somebody plays up with the same #'s, it looks much different.

Huddleston w two TD receptions vs LexCath Freshman. Pretty nice game.

As long as he stays healthy, with how much growing he has left to do, he shouldn't have to pay for college. He is still very young physically. That is scary.

Running Back from Turkeyfoot #22 is good. He isn't the fastest, isn't slow either, but is hard to bring down and sees the field well.

Kyle England and Huddleston I'd say by far are two top players. Interesting though is they are both big strong physical freaks. But, they play very different. If Kyle had Brycen's motor he'd be the most dominant player we've seen in years. If he would lower his should and run over people I honestly would be scared for the other players. Brycen is just a coaches dream. Not only is he as athletic as anyone he is fearless and strong as an ox. He's not afraid to lower his shoulder and could easily hurt someone. The two did meet head to head last year. I made it a point to go and watch. I know Kyle has a YouTube video of last years highlights.
